Y'all may think I'm crazy but I never shoot RAW. The question to the group is - Am I the only one who shoots JPEG all the time? ( with very little adjusting in LR )

A few years ago, our photography club invited a "professional photographer' to address the club. He has his own gallery, he sells his prints, and seems to make decent money. When he told the audience he only shot JPEG there were several people who gasped. He also sometimes used a point and shoot, and usually shot AUTO. The exception was when he had a shot with lighting that was complex, or when he couldn't get what he wanted; then he would change modes. He still insisted that most of his shots were shot in AUTO mode.

He also mentioned that he did only minor post processing!

I can't answer that, there may be a lot of folks that shoot jpegs exclusively. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as you are happy, that's after all the most important factor. I myself never shoot jpegs and I have never shot one, as long as I've been shooting and there's nothing wrong with that either, because it fits me just fine! Its all about preference! I prefer raw, because it gives me freedom in processing and leeway if I choose to let my phantasy run wild!

Similar here. But in really challenging conditions,
and/or work that is obligated to client, I add RAW
as "insurance". So far, I've needed that insurance
about as much as I need life insurance [got none].

I'd recommend to anyone who never uses RAW to
use it where "insurance" is appropriate. After all,
you never know ...

I haven't shot jpeg since 2006, when I got my first raw-capable camera. This does not include my cellphone that I use often and an old Fuji point and shoot that I use occasionally both of which do not shoot raw.
On the other hand, if you are already using LR to edit your images, you should be shooting raw and exploring the limits of your camera which are greater than just presetting your camera picture settings and pressing the shutter button. It it were a business transaction, shooting jpeg would be equivalent to leaving money on the table.

If you think you will shoot RAW eventually, you might consider shooting RAW + JPEG, so that when you move to RAW, you could go back and improve photos you are shooting now. I started out with JPEG also, but now I wish I had RAW files of my favorite shots from back then so I could improve them now.

I agree with this. I have a multitude of photos taken in Alaska, Mexico, Churchill Canada and France that I wish I had the raw files for. I advised my nephew who is just starting to use a dslr to save both files even though he only wants the jpeg for his social media use. I gave him an 8tb external HD just for that purpose.

I shoot RAW and convert to 16-bit TIFF, lossless uncompressed. I think I can correct mistakes with TIFF files as well as with RAW. If I ever have a reason to post a picture online, I would convert the TIFF to JPEG. I’d like a camera that did 16-bit TIFF directly - the less fussing on a computer, the better.
Edit: I set white balance manually.

When I use my compact pocket camera I shoot JPEG because that is the only format it will output. Sometimes I have it set on auto WB, sometimes on custom WB. Whichever gets me closest to what I want.

The only comment I will make is that by only shooting Jpeg you 'MAY POSSIBLY' capture that fantastic, award winning and saleable image that you 'MAY POSSIBLY' later on wished you had the RAW file to enable you to just squeeze that tiny bit more out of
