If that's a reference to the D8000 - it would seem that will supplant the D7500 - but, I suspect they will BOTH be on the market, together - for quite some time to come.

I can't see Nikon dropping ANY of the Z models, RE … they will just add to the Z6 and Z7 …

Don't know what they will do with the two beginner lines … we can only suspect, at this point.

It seems the D750, D850 and Df will continue, as is. The D6 has been announced. Watch the D5 drop!!!

Nikon is rumored to be dropping five DSLR lines - maybe true, maybe false.

All kinds of things could quietly happen in the next few years.
We shall see.

I don't think Nikon even HAS FIVE DSLR lines, do they, RE?
a) 3000 series b) 5000 series c) ProSumer series (DX) d) FX Series ... that's FOUR - no?

I've lost track - which illustrates their problem - but they seem to have a lot going just with D3nnn, D5nnn, D7nnn, and D500 .... then, there are a number of 'FX' bodies also.

Yes, of course - I forgot the D500 - which really could be said - is part of the ProSumer DX line, I think.

Models - of course - are a different connotation, entirely, RE ….

The ProSumer series includes not only the top-level D500, the D7500, and the prior D7200, et al …

The FX Series includes the almost defunct D610, the D750 (and subsequent D760) the Df and the D850.

The PRO FX line includes the D4S (on the way out) the D5, and the recently-announced D6. Thassit!!!!
