You are wrong. Look at the coverage from behind the plate. Lucroy was at all times in fair territory. He was moving the catch the ball. Marisnick clearly versed off the baseline into Lucroy and lowered his head and shoulder into Lucroy. He could have and should have avoided the collision.

You're right, the entire plate is in fair territory, but he is supposed to be forward of the plate. His back foot was blocking it at the beginning of the play, which is why the suspension will be thrown out.

Lucroy did not have the ball so he should not have been blocking Marisnick's path to home plate under the new rules. I don't understand why Marisnick is being suspended.

The plate wasn’t blocked.....ample room to follow the rule of actually sliding.

Keep dreaming! ‘“If” the plate was blocked by the back foot, what is the excuse to veer to a path away from the plate and commit a pile driving helmet to head tackle? That is the reason for the suspension and why it will stand. It was not an accident. It was a deliberate attempt to injure the catcher.

That is a stupid remark on your part. I didn't say a damn thing about anything revolving around baseball. My remark was about the response you guys gave about the OPs post. I haven't watched baseball in years. You both just gave smart ass remarks for no damn reason at all. Too many times in today's world any time someone says something about anything there is always someone acting like an ass trying to turn it into a pissing contest. Jerk!!!

Ramble on dear boy ramble on
"Well, guess what. There are a lot of people who do know who they are and are interested in sports. Everything that goes on in this world doesn't revolve around you!"
Your response to me. Not to worry I will call you a Jerk.

The bigger question is "Who cares?"

So true. I have no idea who these people are.

Why did these two people reply to a thread that they don't care about? I don't get it. We are talking about baseball, and they don't like baseball or care about baseball yet they felt the need to get in on the conversation and start shit. Why? I don't know!

The excuse to move away from the plate is that the back foot blocked the plate. Only then did Lucroy move forward. It was not a deliberate hit.
