I'd really like to see it with a flower. Try Bob's suggestion.

Working on a revised shot. Will post this evening or morning. Glad you liked it so far. :)

I like that, I might have considered placing the candle just a little further away and try to take the worst of the glare of the bottle - but I like it enough to try similar myself.

I was looking for a mood shot. The only light source is the candle. Room was 95% dark.
Thought about laying a flower down in the foreground but probably wouldn't get enough light from the candle.

I do like the image, and agree with Bob’s suggestions re: the flower; could be very effective!

Okey my friends, I reshot with your suggestions. I think it came out great. I had to do the lighting a bit different to get it all to show. Hope you all approve. This one will get printed.👍

IMO as nice as the first shot, this second image is over the top. The lighting is much better and the flower works well in this shot. Nice going.

This is really nice. Not as mysterious as the first one, but that's okay.

Technically better Jim but the intimacy of the first shot has gone. The secondary light source has overpowered the candle’s effect, losing the ‘glow’ of the first shot. Had we seen only the second shot this wouldn’t matter!

Thanks Magnetoman. I might try some additional photoshop on it.

Our camera club is trying something different next year. Two of our competitions will be "themed". The first one is glass. So, you can imagine I'm looking very closely at photos like this one that deal so well with glass. I love that subtle reflection of the label. Very cool. Flower might be very interesting. Thanks for posting.
