Support is not the problem with Picasa. Google set it up so you cannot email anything from it!

I use a third party email client “Thunderbird” - free from Mozilla - on both Win 10 and Linux Mint PCs. When I open email at the bottom of the Picasa screen, Thunderbird opens up with whatever image I have selected in Picasa as an attachment. Add an address and hit send. It works.

I do have problems getting Picasa to run on Wine n the Linux system. So most Picasa emails are from th Win 10 box.

i AM TEMPTED to use Google Photo, but through the years I feel I cannot trust google. Every so often they completely change a program like they did Picasa.

Yup, that's my thought. As long as it works, keep using it. I happen to love it for basic fixes. IMO, the B&W filters are better than those in NIK. I've been using it a lot in the past 2 wks for spot removal. Discovered dust on my sensor so..... I also like being able to access the "library" so easily & efficiently in Picassa. Something I haven't figured out in PSE.

Agree. I used to use FLICKR but when they transitioned to a new photo-editor it was a down-grade. Slow process makes it difficult to get through any volume. I've been fairly pleased with Google for the simple tweaks.

Hi There: If you check back for about two years on this site, you'll see I asked, several times, the same thing you just did regarding Picasa. I used it for years and still do somewhat. After numerous posts, I bought Elements. It is too complicated. I ended up with Fast Stone. It's not as nice and user friendly as Picasa, but it is the best replacement and closest, for free or not. I use Fast Stone for the email end of everything, but still prefer Picasa for minor editing. Get Fast Stone and try to learn it. I have been dealing with this for two years and that is what I ended up with after all is said and done. Been there done that. It comes down to Fast Stone

I agree with bibishkan . My old version of Picasa (it still works fine) is used 90% of the time with FastStone being used only if I need more sharpening or other refinements.

Try ACDSee Photo Studio Standard 2019. https://www.acdsee.com/en/products/photo-studio-standard Download a 30 day free trial. It is great for organizing your photos. Looks like file explorer but you can put your choice of info on your thumbnails. I use file name, file size, width, height but almost any info is available. You can batch resize, rename, convert file format, rotate etc. Cropping is easy, with many options such as landscape, portrait, standard sizes such as 5x7, 8x10, 16x9, custom and many more. Adjust exposure, white balance, add text. This is a very easy to use, powerful, inexpensive program that even I can use. I have used it for many years and for $34.95 it can't be beat. Give it a try for 30 days free. I have tried Gimp and Photo Shop Elements and for what I need, this works great. I have been using this 17 or 18 years and upgrade to the newest version about every 5 years.

Acdc has a sale right now. $10 for pro version. I'm hard core Adobe, and I just got the acdc and so far an impressed. It can be simple like Picasa or it can be a little harder. I'm going to compare it to Adobe PS.

Even if I do not incorporate it, I will gain knowledge that i might be able to use to help someone else.

I've enjoyed the features of Picasa for years, as it suits me very well.
(I have Lightroom and use it sometimes, BUT, - for my needs, Picasa is great for 90% of my photos.)

As Google seems to have discontinued support for Picasa, I am looking for something close to that same set of features including a SIMPLE set of Editing Tools, Organizing, and Storage of photos, (even if it costs a bit of money), and wondering if anyone has ideas or suggestions? - Thanks!

Googe "Picasa." There are some websites that still have it available for download.
