Lexi, our 4 yr. old Corgi, enjoyed wading today and seemed to spend as much time in the creek as on the trail. Although she seemed to "photo bomb" the shots, I felt she added interest to the final photos and decided I was glad she got in the way. The first three shots are versions of the same shot, cropped for different compositions.

BTW She wasn't allowed in the house the rest of the afternoon until she was finally dry!

My Wife wanted to know if that was a bear (looking at the monitor from the side), I said "wild California Korgi Bear", very cute "photo bomber"!!!!

Nice Vicki. Hair dryers can be used on a dog if the dog permits.

I like the shots with lexi in them...it's nice that you can take her out with you. does she stay
with you or do you put her on a leash?

This dog is pretty clingy and doesn't let me out of her sight. In these shots, I was looking down on her from a higher bank as she explored the creek, but she ran after me when I turned to go. I put her on leash when its required or there are other dogs around that seem aggressive.

Thanks for looking and commenting Merry.

Fun shots, Vicki. I've been streaming "The Crown" lately and Corgis were shown many times during the Queen's everyday life. She really has a great affection for the breed. Looks like she had 4 or 5 at the time. The time period was the late 50's and early 60's so far.
Years ago, my next door neighbor had a Corgi. She was a fine dog and she would always greet me if I happened to be outside at the time. Loved petting her and telling her what a "good girl" she was.

I watched the Crown, but I knew the Queen has had lots of Corgis over the years. Lexi is our sixth and perhaps the sweetest of the bunch. She keeps company with our older Border Collie/Aussie mix, Rory.

I'm glad you enjoyed the series Tom. Thanks for taking time for this post.

She must have stayed outside for quite a while; she looks like she has a very deep pelt. And the smell of wet dog can get stifling after a while.

I was more concerned about putting the wet dogs in my new car. I've got covers in the "dog space" but they still manage to get dirt spread around. Since the day was fairly warm, Lexi was dry in record time but tired enough to be content sleeping outside in the sun for awhile.

Thanks for the visit and comments DragonsLady.

Lexi is a delightful dog and wonderful company for our older Border Collie/Aussie mix.
