I have nothing against fun. This topic is fun. But if I want political diatribes from either side, I can easily go to Facebook.
I'am not on Facebook so my fun is here

Oh yes it does. I do a lot of my photography at sunrise, and yes, daylight savings time effects my timing greatly.
What do you know, I have 3 different cameras, Nikon D5300, Sony A6000, and Lumix ZS100. All on Daylight Savings.

Hoo RAAy! Californians have been erased from the 'Daylight Savings Time'. We're now like Arizona, and Hawaii!!!
No you are not and never could be like Arizonians. We are curmudgeonly iconoclasts. We are self sufficient and believe in personal responsibility. We take care of our own without asking the government for help. We know the words of the National Anthem and proudly stand, remove our hats, place our hands over our hearts and sing along when it plays. Democrat or Republican we are Americans first, Arizonans second and if you want to join us leave your confrontational politics where you came from. If you want to move the more remote areas remember the reason we live there is that we don't want paved roads, street lights or sidewalks. If you can live with that Welcome Friend, is not go somewhere else and change them to a clone of the place you ran away from.

Mine is probably still set to UK time...?????
I never ever look at it and I should care more but I don't
I took a camera to the UK 3 years ago, and it is still on UK time. Doesn't matter to me.

Californians voted this past midterm elections to eliminate Pacific Standard Time, and permanently stay with PDT. I don't know when it takes effect, because it has to get final approval from the Feds. That shouldn't be a problem, since Arizona, California's eastern neighbor, never changes time. At all. Standard Time is only 4 months out of the year.
And Daylight Savings Time lasts 8 months. Why not totally eliminate Standard Time altogether. Nationwide?
Permanent daylight savings time was tried before during the 1973 oil crisis. It resulted in school children walking to school and waiting for school buses in darkness in the winter. How people forget or don't care.

Admittedly thaz a serious problem, but in
practice the rest of the US is not gonna
vote to toss out 25% of its economy along
with 25% of its coastline, AND create a
HUGE competing nation on its own border.
Total population of our current two border
neighbors is 160 million. California would
add another 40 million to that.
