we do not change until April 7th.
Californians voted this past midterm elections to eliminate Pacific Standard Time, and permanently stay with PDT. I don't know when it takes effect, because it has to get final approval from the Feds. That shouldn't be a problem, since Arizona, California's eastern neighbor, never changes time. At all. Standard Time is only 4 months out of the year.
And Daylight Savings Time lasts 8 months. Why not totally eliminate Standard Time altogether. Nationwide?
Hoo RAAy! Californians have been erased from the 'Daylight Savings Time'. We're now like Arizona, and Hawaii!!!

Actually, THANK YOU!
After countless watch, clock, alarm, microwave, oven, car, etc. changes all day, thank you for reminding me about the cameras.
A lot depends on where you are in your time zone. Like Maine is far to the east, i.e. right at the beginning, of the Eastern TimeZone so it's always "later,"while Indiana, on the western edge, is actually almost an hour behind. If they go on Daylight Time (to match Cincinnati) they're an hour ahead of Chicago, which can be awkward.

There have been more articles and discussions lately on eliminating the change to daylight savings. It appears to me to be a solution in search of a problem.

You're right! That reminder was rather provincial. Sometimes we American hogs forget that this is an International forum.

Really? Your Nikon camera knows not just which day each year but what nation
and what state/province/territory it, not you, is actually in??
Shazam! Maybe I should get rid of all four Sony cameras I own? Nah. Sorry, not to be nasty, but respectfully, I don’t believe your claim.

As an American whose four Sony cameras reside in CONUS, I thank you. They all require the user to go to the same page (& item description,) in the Menu Settings to toggle between the two options.

It's the other way around - they want to stay on daylight saving time!

I think my camera is still on DST.
