Just a reminder to change your camera to DST.

Thanks for the reminder about the camera clock. I'm glad to see that you left the "s" off the end of "Saving."

There is talk about eliminating this in the U. S., and I hope it happens. I have several automatic atomic clocks. Some have changed time, and some haven't.

"Time is what keeps everything from happening at once." Ray Cummings' 1922 science fiction novel "The Girl in the Golden Atom" and others.

Californians voted this past midterm elections to eliminate Pacific Standard Time, and permanently stay with PDT. I don't know when it takes effect, because it has to get final approval from the Feds. That shouldn't be a problem, since Arizona, California's eastern neighbor, never changes time. At all. Standard Time is only 4 months out of the year.
And Daylight Savings Time lasts 8 months. Why not totally eliminate Standard Time altogether. Nationwide?

In order for this to actually be put in place, California legislature has to now approve it by a two-thirds vote, the governor would have to sign it, and then Congress would have to allow the deviation.

I can possibly see the legislature approving it, can possibly see Newsom signing it, but since California is a blue state, I'm wondering if the United States Congress (that means House and Senate) would allow it, and then if Twitler would sign it.

Florida voted to leave Eastern Standard Time and stay on Daylight Saving Time year round last year, the state legislature passed the resolution, the governor signed it and sent it to congress for action. We are still waiting.
I agree with you, standard time should be eliminated.

That's interesting. I didn't know it had to go through all the hurdles before being confirmed. Speaker Pelosi, who is from California, would get it through the House of Representatives. But, the Senate would have to get cheering from California's Senators Feinstein and Harris. But, Senate Majority Leader McConnell, from Kentucky, probably couldn't care less. And we already know the feud, that our new Governor has with the President? Which is a continuation from Jerry Brown's Governorship.

For some reason someone introduced a bill in the Michigan State Senate to get rid of DST. We're on the western edge of the time zone so if we stay on EST we will be on Chicago time, closer to our earth distance. The farmers here are on SUT and SDT - sunup and sundown.

I have four clocks in my garage that each makes a different sound on the hour - one is a motorcycle, another one John Deere tractors, the third does Ford engines and the fourth is a railroad locomotive. They are all now on the right time again after being an hour off for the last four months.

Really? Your Nikon camera knows not just which day each year but what nation and what state/province/territory it, not you, is actually in??

Shazam! Maybe I should get rid of all four Sony cameras I own? Nah. Sorry, not to be nasty, but respectfully, I don’t believe your claim.

Yes, really! My Nikon set itself. Nikon owner just needs to set the time zone of your location, and set "Day light saving" On.

I never could understand why they don't "split the difference" and set the clocks 1/2 hour ahead or back, AND LEAVE THEM ALONE!
