This one's NOT about cameras designed for elitists - it's about the ones designed for those who want something small and pocketable, and - most of all - inexpensive. Now, then … we ALL know they're out there - don't we? … And many folks buy them, too. They may not have a zillion megapixels, or FF formats, or APS-C, or MFT, or 1" even - but they get the job done - don't they? …. So, what's your fave, and why?

Oh, yes … be sure to indicate pertinent facts about it, when you comment - like MP (if you know it) and Zoom Length, and Sensor size (if it's digital) and if not - film size it takes. And, perhaps - the price … ok?

The Brooklyn bridge? Or you mean the Nikon F or F2?

The Brooklyn Bridge came to mind here, as well. You beat me to it.

Bridge to cross? one of my favourite bridges to cross is the Kylesku Bridge in the north-west of Scotland. Aesthetically it is a beautiful bridge, what's more, it is in a stunning landscape, which it compliments splendidly.

And it is sensibly priced, no toll.

The Skye bridge comes a close second.

Yes, Graham … but, since this is a Photography Forum - this post is about inexpensive cameras …

See - the lead post …

Actually, Bebu - I have NO INTEREST whatsoever, in buying a bridge - neither, the road kind, nor the camera kind … I posted this as a favor to someone who commented on cheap cameras in another post - but, so far - neither he, nor anyone else, either, has commented on such cameras … {{Sigh!!!}}

But Chris, your subject line clearly asks for sensibly priced bridges to cross.

After asking questions about what a bridge camera is I found out that it's the kind that I would never want. When I don't want a large DSLR I would rather have a small, pocketable camera that can capture high quality images, good in low light and not have too much of a zoom range or no zoom at all.

That's a convolution, Graham … the Topic Post Title actually reads as follows
A Bridge to Cross - on the lookout for sensibly-priced bridges ... what's YOUR vote?

And, the Lead Post reads like this:

Bebu … any small compact camera with ANY kind of zoom, might be appropriately termed "a bridge" …

A small compact camera with a fixed lens - is more appropriately termed "a point and shoot" …

And asking about a pocketable bridge camera makes no sense at all...unless you have extraordinarily large sized pockets.

I'm partial to the Ha' Penny Bridge - over the River Liffey in Dublin.

The Sony RX10M4 is a reasonably priced bridge CAMERA. At $1600 it's not cheap, but it's quite reasonable when you consider what you are getting. If you have a different definition of "reasonable" - like maybe "dirt cheap" then disregard. I love mine and use it almost as often as my D800/D810 and closet full of lenses.
