OK seriously I used my quick selection tool to select the fence posts then used Fill/Content Aware. I used the healing brush to remove the small barbed wire lines.

O.M.G., you are so-so bad, girlfriend

You did a fantastic job with your fill/content aware. I keep forgetting to try that as an alternative to straight ol' cloning. Many thanks for the smile and the edit.

One of the things I learned with content aware is to keep as close as you can to the object you are removing when using the quick select tool. If you go too large it can select an area to fill from that doesn't match.

Great tip, thank you.

You sure did. Sorry, Bill, somewhere between page 1 and 2 of this topic I lost my mind

remove the angled foreground pole in #2.

Re-post your edit, and explain your steps and software used.

Tuff one.

PS with cloning, healing, copy, move, and mask.

Easy wouldn't be fun As an aside, when I posted this to FYC last year for critique, there was some discussion about whether the angled pole added interest to the composition. I framed the shot specifically to include it as "odd man out" and though I still prefer that way, the pole-be-gone is beginning to grow on me.

Great job, much appreciated.

In the 7 years I lived in Yakima I drove by hop farms everyday. I never saw them as a creative photo opportunity. Linda, it kills me that you can see compositions so well.

And speaking of hops, Bale Breaker definitely knows how to make the right stuff out of them! If you don't like beer, try stuffing a chicken with hops instead of rosemary. Then roast it or rotisserie it.

Don't die on me yet, Bill; there is much more to accomplish in this section

Appreciate the stuffed chicken suggestion. Intriguing!

You all are so far ahead of me on what you seem to agree is fairly simple to attain. I purchased the classic subscription but have yet to figure out how to even find photoshop. I don’t mean to get off on a difference line in this thread but if anyone can suggest how to find it I would be very appreciative. Linda, this lesson you posted would be right down my alley for what I want to be able to do. I’m trying to figure out how to remove dog leashes from dogs and eventually how to remove/change backgrounds. Starting with the project you posted would be a great exercise for me if I could only figure out how to to find it with the subscription. Oh, and btw, in LR Classic I do try the clone and heal tools but they always leave streaks. Am I just using too large of an area? Thanks for any help or suggestions and sorry if this is too off topic.
