Yes, immature bald eagle. See:

Your "snipe" isn't. Maybe one of the sandpipers or a willet. They do all start to look alike after a few minutes viewing search results

It's a lesser yellowlegs...

NO Shortage of Subject Matter.....this is a great collection-series and you had a successful shooting indeed. The Wildlife is Bountiful and healthy looking as well. Lucky you. Thanks.

I thought at first that you were “pulling my leg” so I looked up lesser yellowlegs and.....looks like you’re right.

Never heard of this bird before but......I am very obviously not much of a “birder”

I would agree. Most likely Greater Yellowlegs, see the slight upturned bill.

Thanks Linda

Another member identified the “snipe” as a lesser yellowlegs.
I’m not sure why I try to put a label on the photos I post. Maybe going forward I’ll just type in “bird” and leave it at that.

Makes sense that a greater would turn up his nose at a lesser.

Your "snipe" is a greater yellowlegs, a common shorebird.I believe your hawk is a common redtail.

Do you ever see the white Whooping Cranes? They look like Sandhill Cranes only white and they're a lot fewer.

I saw some long ago when I was a boy. We were visiting family in Nebraska and my Mom pointed them out.
I haven’t seen any since.
