Christmas 2018 is almost history. What did Santa bring down your chimney?
This year’s model of the NE Patriots knitted hat. Ready for the playoffs.
My son & DIL gave me a really nice leather camera strap with my name on it. I just have to figure out which camera to put it on - I am thinking the F100.
I looked carefully around the Christmas tree but could not find anything for me. I am used to it.
Looking at it, I have everything I need.

Your wife has a sense of humor. A very useful present. It made me smile.

I'll start. Opened first box and low and behold a Canon 1DX Mark ll and an EOS 24-70/2.8 ll. I was sooooo excited I didn't bother to open the others. Rushed outside to take a few shots and discovered that my photos are still crappy. But now I look like a pro.
Received a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 full frame (fx) lens. In process of converting to fx lenses, f2.8 or that range. Can’t wait to try it out!!

Didn't receive gifts but cards from family and friends which at this point in life is plenty.
Also made a nice donation to help those less fortunate than myself (Used my camera/lens savings) figuring they needed it more than I needed a new self serving toy. Then went to my wife's mother's home and invited some of her friends for a meal that my wife (a chef) made for them as they all had lost a spouse and children were too far away/busy to visit so they all have a nice meal and fun talking and gossipping about the past year.
It was very relaxing for me and enjoyable.
That is what Santa brought to me, peace on earth for a few hours.

Christmas is not all about presents/gifts but bringing joy to others and sharing which your wife did. Have a blessed holiday.

I got 5 hours in the ER and a gall bladder removal 3 days before Christmas! Upside is that the family did all the stuff I was supposed to do but couldn’t. Missed some Christmas Eve festivities but everyone is happy and healthy so all is well. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
And a speedy recovery to you. Now your family really does know how hard your work at this time of year.

I got one full day of clean air to breath....the neighbor across the street constantly burns lumber treated with chemicals and plastic...The smoke has been painful....BUT.....Christmas day......they were GONE!.....HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL!
Surely it is dangerous to the health of everyone in the neighbourhood. Why don't you telephone the authorities anonymously and just say that you were concerned about pollutants?
We lost my mom in January and recently had an estate sale. So mom gave me a new Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 lens. Thanks mom, but I would rather have you here instead. We miss you so much! I gave my brother & sister a photo book of pictures of her from a baby to 88 years. We all cried out eyes out.
As I had hoped, Santa left a Nikon D7200 under the tree. However, I see my credit card to a major hit. I'm beginning to doubt this stuff about him, his elves, and some workshop at the North Pole.
Got a second Nikon Df body from Roberts. Now my GAS is relieved a bit.

Sorry, Lakeside. I've been in your shoes, my friend. I lost my wife of 40 years 6 years ago shortly before Christmas. That was a tough, tough time to get thru.

Thanks Photobum, and sorry for your loss too.
