That's the was it used to work for me. Last time did all that and only one went out and could not be opened by the recipient.

I typically just highlight the entire directory I want to upload, and it goes from there. After they’re uploaded, you have the option to share. You just add the email address of the person(s) you’d like to share with, execute, and Google Drive will send those people email invitations with a link and login to the appropriate Google Drive folder to view the images.

Hmmm. I’m assuming you’re not over your mailbox limit. You might try sending an invitation to yourself and see what happens. Wish I had some more ideas...

I use "retransfer" free version. I like it much better than drop box.

I post smaller images I want to share on my Google 1 drive. To send large images, I use Send Space. The account is free, and it automatically sends an e-mail to your recipient. I have Dropbox, but have had difficulties with it - usually on the receiving end. When I receive a Dropbox notification, I have to log in using my own account log-in and then I can look at whatever is being sent me. If I didn't have an account, I guess I couldn't do that. However, one of the weekly threads on UHH uses Dropbox to upload images for voting. It's a direct link and I don't have to log in. So I think perhaps it's the way the original post to Dropbox is set up that makes the difference.

If you have a Nikon camera, you can register it and get 20GB of storage at Nikon Image Space. It's actually quite a nice photo sharing site. It's easy to upload pictures to it. You can set up folders to group pictures and then make those folders visible to others. You can really control what they can see, download, etc. I used it recently to upload over 1000 pictures I took during the recent Nationals and I then shared with the competitors. At last count, I had over 70,000 views from those pictures alone. The Nikon Image Space site has all sorts of statistics and other things. It's quite nicely done.

I use Dropbox extensively for work and other things, but as a photo-sharing site it sucks the big one compared Nikon Image Space.

If you do not have a Nikon camera, you still can sign up at Nikon Image Space, but you only get 2GB.

(Oh, and NIS links nicely with SnapBridge.)

I simply provide links to single or multiple images or albums via Lightroom CC. This is included in the photograher's plan through Adobe. It uses a very small amount of cloud space when linked through Lightroom Classic collections. The links can be shared with anyone that has access to a smart phone or a computer.

OK. Are you sending a link to a folder, a link to a file, a share to a file or a share to a folder? Do you send them through the Dropbox app or do you copy the link and send emails from whatever email program you use?

For large groups I always copy a link to a folder and send emails from my personal email. This allows me to keep track of responses.

When do you get the error? Is it before you send, after you receive? Are you clicking on a delivered link? Could you give details?

So far you have not been clear on what you are doing or when in the process you get the error.

Drop box is extremely easy to use. It resides on your computer. Just create a directory for Jane doe, drag and drop the photos there, and they will automatically send and sync with the one on the web. You then set it for sharing by Jane doe and give them the link.

If you go to the photo section today, 12 days in China, there is a link there in Howards post to a drop box file for us to view. This is a movie, but could be individual photos.

A good example of drop box.

I take between 500 to 1000 photos at a curling bonspiel and after culling and any post processing I save them as jpegs to a series of sub-folders in the spiel folder in Dropbox. Then make a link to that folder and provide it to the participants. They can then access the photos and view all and copy those they want to their computers. Usually leave the photos up for 6 months to a year.
