Very nice. Yes, the people were very friendly all over the country. While we were touring some site, we noticed a young Chinese man following along with our group. He wanted to improve his English.

Sorry, we were told where we were going at the time and I don't remember exactly. It was near Beijing. We took a ski lift up to an area just below the base of the wall; hope that helps. By going in the mid/late afternoon we avoided the usual crowds.
