Can you imagine a Muslim country stopping their religious festivals being altered the same way in their schools.

No, I cannot. Nor can I imagine American schools anymore saying we won't indoctrinate our students in the Muslim faith either. Yet the Christian faith is seemingly shunned by administrators in many schools.

Of course Liberals tell us this is all hogwash and isn't happening while we see it happening, as in this post, more and more often. Just as Liberals tell us that Liberal Democrats are not out to take away our firearms, even while they are gearing up to take away our firearms.

Fired. Great. She didn't have any business even teaching much less running a school. Think of the problems she has already caused in her ascent to used to be position of authority.

All I see when I look at a candy cane is the number 7. Where is the "J"?

I got a really great deal on those packs of chocolate coated, assorted color candy right after Halloween. All of them had "W&W" stamped on them. Seems like someone at the candy making factory printed them upside down!

That's strange - no one from the religion of "no-God" has ever come knocking on my door or stopped me on the street to try to convert me.

No, me neither. But I witness seemingly every year now where atheists demand equal time and space to tell us their rights to not worship God. Non believers are quick to point out a cross on public property or a nativity scene on public property that must be removed, even though it can't possibly bother them in the least. Yet they insist that it is offensive to them.

We need to stop this politically correct, tail wagging the dog, crap in America.

It is a buzz word that is still undefined. Would you provide the definition?
No connotations, please.

An elementary school principal in Nebraska was placed on leave after telling teachers to avoid decorating their classrooms with Christmas-themed ornaments so as not to offend those who don’t celebrate the holiday.

The principal at Manchester Elementary School, identified by Fox affiliate KPTM as Jennifer Sinclair, sent out a memo earlier this week with guidelines as to what is considered appropriate for classroom decorations and assignments.

Teachers reportedly were told that generic winter-themed items, such as sledding and scarves, and the “Frozen” character Olaf, were acceptable.

Decorations that included Santa, Christmas trees, reindeer, green and red items and even candy canes, however, were not acceptable for the elementary school.

The candy canes, according to KETV, were prohibited because Sinclair deemed them to have religious significance. “Historically, the shape is a ‘J’ for Jesus. The red is for the blood of Christ, and the white is a symbol of his resurrection,” she reportedly wrote. “This would also include different colored candy canes.”

“I feel uncomfortable that I have to get this specific, but for everyone’s comfort, I will,” Sinclair reportedly wrote in the memo.

The Elkhorn School District told Fox News in a statement that “the memo does not reflect the policy of Elkhorn Public Schools regarding holiday symbols in the school.”

The district’s policy states that “Christmas trees, Santa Claus and Easter eggs and bunnies are considered to be secular, seasonal symbols and may be displayed as teaching aids provided they do not disrupt the instructional program for students.”

Sinclair was placed on administrative leave as of Thursday morning.

When is this going to end?

Christian schools are the answer to all of this pc hogwash (note that they call it "PC" and not "Mac"----har har har). The education that my grandkids are getting from their Christian school is incredibly wholesome and at the same time, very top-notch intellectual.....and they are a diverse school too. The agenda focuses on education and not classroom disturbances.

Dennis, after you. Thanks.

PS. Please review the legal definition of "Public Property". You may be shocked.

It always amazes me that such i***ts can be promoted. Sheesh.

They are educators. They have zero levels of expectations. What grade level do you think a 12th-grade graduating student is proficient at?? In an article in the NY Times a number of years ago, 3/4's of the incoming freshman class attending CUNY needed remedial classes. They were all HS grads. The teachers union protects the incompetent ones.

That is some pretty twisted thinking. How do you encourage people to be tolerant if you remove the differences? People should learn to live with and accept other religions and what they celebrate as well as those who are not religious should accept those who are. What are those kids going to learn from that man's totally illogical decision?

We began as a Judeo-Christian nation that was fought for a won with blood, hard work and determination. As a child I had our morning prayer and pledged allegiance to this country that fed and nurtured me. Yet today our kids miss the ethic that we grew up with because it would interfere with the rights of those that do not believe as we do. It is seemingly forgotten that when no other nation promoted religious freedom, we did. Yet our customs and beliefs have been tossed aside like trash so as not to offend those others. I often wonder why if they don't believe why can't they can opt out and ignore the prayer and not make the pledge. We ignore the rights and privileges that our ancestors fought for to please what is still, I believe, a minority. We are less as a nation and a society for not instilling those ethics and beliefs in our children. My 2 cents, which I think so far I'm still able to say.
