How about a Z6? Ooops missed a few decimals...
but in the "accessories" category there are a few items...deluxe lens cleaning kit, photo books (Ansel Adams or instructional/inspirational etc) or subscriptions.

How about Dunkin Donut gift card, $30 is a tough limit. Well as part of a gift I ordered a Op/Tec lens case, under $30, lens shade also under $30.
Cold weather photography gloves- one or more of the fingers roll back.

I agree. The Bubble-Levels for the hot shoe are a very inexpensive gift for all your photo buddies.......I bought 4 sets of these you listed on amazon and they will be great gifts for all my family & friends.

Cash rules!! I make it fun at present opening time by putting together packages, box within box style that have cash surprises (different denominations) inside...... sounds crass, but I can tell by the smiles that it is way better than watching them open something and having that "why did you give me this thing" look!! And they don't have to take it back if they don't like it, just throw it at me!!! Grampy's presents seem to anticipated, rather than dreaded now!! No Sox, underware, sweaters, cheap toys, wrong brand, etc. etc. ymmv

Large hardcover book called “Photography: The Definitive Visual History” by Tom Ang. $34.75 on Amazon.
It’s a large beautiful book, tracing the history of photography the past 200 years. It sits on my coffee table, and when friends come over they love looking through it. Tom Ang is a worldwide professional photographer and has written over 30 books on photography.
Gloves that work on a touch screen.
I have just discovered I need them to drive my new Jeep, too! And for my newer cameras.

If your friend is older and enjoys trying to capture BIFs, a red dot sight can be purchased from B & H for under $25, plus you'll need a rail to fit the hot shoe for under $10.
Depending on your friend and his/her interests, a quality photo book is always appropriate. You can always write a nice note that you sign on the inside cover that will remind tour friend of your ongoing friedndship.
My friend got me this lens a couple years ago. It is a drink tumbler! It is fun, and neat. Very realistic, and the lid screws on. Great for my early morning outings with my coffee and camera gear.
