Let's clarify a point here. I said Russian ASSET, not agent, although that hasn't been ruled out yet.
Vladimir Putin thrives on creating chaos inside his enemies camp. He used it in Georgia, the Crimea, the Ukraine, and continues to use it throughout Western Europe. This is a fact that our allies readily acknowledge yet Donald Trump shrugs his shoulders at and lights up like a Christmas tree as soon as he sees his buddy Putin. We, the US, are Vlad the Impaler's #1 historic enemy. After all, Putin always was and will always be KGB.
Donald Trump has done nothing but cause chaos inside this government, among the people, and between the US and its allies. Note those alliances exist largely to contain the former Soviet Union and the current Russian Federation which has, under Putin, illegally occupied Georgia and Crimea and continues to threaten adjacent states.
Donald Trump as a businessman thrived on chaos so that he could take advantage of the situation. Much of his empire was built on chaos, a fact the he has proudly boasted of over the years. If you don't see the chaos and divisions that he has caused/is causing in this country you are blind and deaf.
Putin, who backed Trump, whether it was direct or indirect, bet on the right horse when it came to sowing chaos in the United States and amongst our allies. This has resulted in this country sinking to its lowest international stature in our history. We are neither respected nor trusted on the world's stage as once we were even as little as 22 months ago.
Donald Trump has accomplished more to weaken and disrupt the United States of America in 22 months than 70 years of concerted Russian efforts.
A person at the heart of Russia's #1 enemy, who accomplishes Putin/Russia's goals doesn't have to be a direct agent to be their Number One ASSET.
