"Zero" I live in the country. We don't allow kids, It will lead to school tax and we dont want that. If any kids move in we send them to the witch at the end or the lane never to be heard from again.
Our numbers were down, but we'd just had a big rain. The most interesting was a little toddler who showed up with her mother at 9:30, long after the last visitor and we thought we were done for the night. Her bucket was empty, too. The only thing that I could figure out was that she'd been out once, gone home, and wanted to go out again. What parents won't do to make their kids happy.
We had one. We never know how many we will get from year to year. Always buy the candy we like.
Over the 30 years we lived here I've seen the number of kids go up and then down as they grew older, then up again as new families moved into the neighborhood. We see more and more kids on the streets these days. I would say maybe 60 appeared in customs. Just a few were the big kids that should leave the trick and treating to the younger kids.
I had two. Thirty years ago I would have had 80-90. The trend in my area is “Trunk or Treat” events that are well attended.
None for me. I live in a gated community with a bunch of old geezers. There are only a few small children living here. I guess their parents didn't bother taking them out for Halloween.

Now that's really funny - or not...

We actually had less of the 14-15 year olds this year...

That's the key to a happy Halloween!

We used to get over 100 kids on Halloween. Last night only 18 came to the house. I got to eat all the leftover candy!
How many did you get?
Lite year, ran out an hour in, so the count is 40+, if we hadn't run out we would have been still handing out at 8PM

I bought 2 bags of Reese Cups, just in case.
Only 2 came to the door. An hour apart.
We get to enjoy the leftovers. Yum!
At our church, we have a walking track above the full size basketball court. We have probably 40 volunteers take their chairs and sit around the track. We have "Track or Treat." Wednesday night we probably had 400 kids. I had candy in a large plastic bowl and I told the kids to take something they liked. One kid just grabbed the bowl with both hands. Smart kid--he knew what he liked. All in all, I think we had as much fun as the kids.
