Good Morning,
I am taking a business trip to Fresno, CA next week and am trying to learn if there are any places unique to the city to photograph.
I will be centered at the Doubletree Hotel, Fresno Convention Center. My free time will be in the evenings.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
George

Yosemite is up state highway 41 from Fresno. Can't go wrong with Yosemite!

The City hall is an interesting building. Kearney park and Mansion are nice. If you have a day Yosemite is only a couple of hours drive.

Yosemite is too far away. I am on a business trip Monday through Thursday. I arrive from VA at 1500 Monday. Work is from 0800 to 1800.
I catch a plane back home at 1600 on Thursday, which means I leave work at 1400 or so.

Thanks

Dang George, too bad you couldn't wriggle another day and leave for home of Friday.....seems business is always getting in the way of a good time... Good luck, hope you get some good opportunities

Suggest you visit http://www.simonianfarms.com/. Simonian Farm is south of Fresno. They have a lot of antique farm equipment, old signs, peddle cars, bicycle and other stuff.

Agreed. I only need to put up with work for another 4 years or so. Then freedom!

Yosemite is an hour away and can be seen at sunrise or sunset. It is worth taking a later flight or an extra day.

Stay longer, or skip the business meetings and go to Yosemite...should be beautiful this time of year.

Yosemite will have to be a dedicated trip.
I need to last at the job for the next 4 years, can't skip work.

Thanks everyone.

First condolences but at least it isn't Bakersfield or Santa Maria (the arm pits of CA, laughs )

Dude, before I retired I traveled on business all over the world and if I have a regret is not taking more time to explore the areas I was in. You can't take that time back so figure out a way to stay at least a day more and either head up to the gold country or better yet Yosemite...

I get it.
If I didn't have other, personal obligations to attend to Friday I would have stayed.
I am taking a red eye home and you know how much fun they are.
