I agree! Personally I enjoy the give and take, a bit like a chess game, and hope I never get (too) personal.

I hope you remember how you posted this. It didn't double post this time.

IIRC you posted a link to some of your photographs. I think you should put it in your signature. It should quell any doubts about your work being professional.

I still think you get a bit over bearing with your enthusiasm for Sony, but that has nothing to do with the quality of your photographs.

Bill_de believe it or not I was just as much a Nikon and Canon supporter for decades. I still love Nikon and Canon and had hoped they would really push Sony with incredible releases that knocked it out of the park. Instead we got some solid doubles, but no homeruns. Do I think they will be better in the next generations, absolutely yes. The only problem with that is Sony is sitting still and has major new releases in the wings, coming soon, thay may leave Nikon and Canon further behind for NEW buyers. But current Nikon and Canon lens owners will make both the Z-cameras and Canon EOS R solid successes. So no Sony fanboy talking will change that Bill-de, and that is fine, enjoy. Cheers

Nice try, but I see 8 more pages after this one, but I'm with you. Next post.

Gwilliams6 is indeed a professional or was. He is also Sony's staunchest fanboy. I believe this from another post fits

"The Sony users seem to be the most virulent while Nikon and Canon users for the most part, are secure in their knowledge of “place” the Sony user reminds me of the teenager back in the ‘60s pulling into the local car hop where all the “cool” kids were driving GTOs and Shelby Mustangs. He had a car that got him from point A to point B and he was happy with it. But he felt very insecure because they got all the attention (and the girls). So he would tell anyone who would listen just how great the VW was and how he got better mileage than those guys with their gas guzzling V8’s. And his tires cost less. And he didn’t need antifreeze. And their cars were harder to park. And, and ,and………………"

FYI Rich1939, i am still a working professional photographer doing assignments for a variety of clients, thank you. You flatter me, but I am no greater a Sony fanboy than any other pro who has switched to Sony and enjoys using them as much as any happy Nikon or Canon user enjoys their gear. Cheers

Why is it that Nikon chose to limit their latest, greatest camera to Ultra HD 4K at 30 frames per second? Why could they not include 60 fps capability?

All Nikon is offering a measly 1080/120p.

Only 3 lenses? The 24-70mm f/4 S, 35mm f/1.8 S, and 50mm f/1.8 S. No serious lenses.
All your amazing AF lenses (Millions) are paper weights as far as features etc. (I remember many neophytes being told to get the expensive Nikons so the AF lenses will work that they were wanting to buy, what a waste of money for totally obsolete junk) At least your EF lenses are 100% functional from the first ones on and actually super enhanced with the R system.

One card slot. What a complete joke. Z7 pro model with the high end sensor and one slot and an expensive XQD slot at that which is apparently becoming obsolete as well.
Wow that is a risk if you are going to do any photography away from home.

Flip out rear screen another joke. Need a fully articulating one to really be serious for vlogging and other things that a flipper is just too lame for.

From reviews thus far the video focus is as bad as ever. Again why have video if your focus is a failure.

An f0.95 Manual focus lens? Why? You bought an AF camera and get a 1930's lens.

Why is it that Nikon chose to limit their latest, ... (show quote)

Then don't buy one.
