Try going to Topaz Studio and download a trial version of A.I.Gigapixel and see if that solves the issue of being able to enlarge and print in larger sizes.

The lure of anything new can be hard to overcome over your existing equipment, I think a lot of it has to do with complacency, when a person uses the same equipment every day, he/she tends to become tired of it. It's not because the equipment is performing worse, it's because the user yearns for something new.
