I have been shooting Canon for about 20 years and really like most of their products. I really like this forum but hope there are more Canon people out there to post about things. I have learned a lot here but most things are about Nikon.
I live in Hawaii so have amazing nature around me to shoot constantly.
I look forward to hearing from some like shooters.
Hi ML, nice to have you here. Welcome. I look forward to seeing your work. I use a Canon 60D, with one lens...A Tamron 18-300 lens. (The only lens i have.) If you look at my flickr, you can see the work i do. Let me know how you like...Ask questions, chit-chat, but above all, have fun.

Canon 5DII here, and plan to shot it until the wheels fall off. Wait, we say that about cars, don't we? The Canon 5DII can do far more things than I can think of. Even my large format printer is Canon.
And welcome to the forum.
I have had a Canon DSLR since 2005. (20d) Now I have a 5D MIII & a 7D MII. Recently I purchased a Sony Bridge, RX10 IV. I love all of them. I still have a Canon G9, rarely and hardly used.

Ever since I went Digital I have been using Canon gear. Started with a 5D because at the time it was the only full frame DSLR out there. Upgraded to the 6D, then a 1DX for flight photography, and then the 5DIV. They all have served me well and have created, at least in my opinion, some pretty good images. I am also fully vested in glass for these bodies. However, my niche now days is birds and flight if at all possible. Recently I enjoyed a week shooting Atlantic Puffins and there were in-numerous flight shot opportunities. Fast birds and tough to track. I was with several Sony A9 users using Sony's 100/400, some using 1.4x teleconverters. I can tell their success rate with this relatively light gear and much better focusing systems was much better than mine with a 1DX and 400mm DO II plus 1.4x converter. And, at my age, the weight of the Sony made a big difference considering we were shooting for hours at a time. Granted, flight photography is a very specialized type of photography, however I believe I am finding that some systems are simply better at a particular subject than others. I am seriously considering moving to Sony's A9 for flight and keeping some Canon gear for more generic photography.
Welcome to the Hog Mug Lady, enjoy.
There are, worldwide, more Canon users than Nikon users, but it doesn't matter. There are plenty of us on this site, so if you want to talk Canon, you'll get lots of responses. Otherwise, just talk photography. And show us Hawaii. :-)
Sorta on the same subject ---
https://www.canonrumors.com sez that the FF Mirrorless will be (probably) announced at Photokina on 9/9.
CHG CANON - we'll see if your observation of used sales after big announcements comes true in this case. A lot will depend on the mount they use. Canon Rumors didn't seem to know.
Mug Lady : Welcome to UHH. I am old film camera person. Using Canon AE-1 rate now. How are you holding up with all the rain and flooding in Hawaii? I live in New York State.
