Beautiful photo. I love Cade's Cove, but this picture gives a very old time feel. This is probably very close to how it would have looked back in the days of kerosene lamps and lanterns.

Love the way you put that comment together. This was the first time I've tried combining different ISOs in one shot. I think it worked out pretty well. This is the scene I saw while there. Thanks for the comment and for looking.

Thank you wdross. That is exactly the way I feel about the cove and the photo. I love the cove. but getting a good photo is hard, especially if you he been there numerous times. How do you get something new thatisn't just a snap shot? I feel this photo captures the feel of what the cove was and the life that was lived there years ago. Those settlers must have seen this view many times. I look at this and can just hear old John Oliver saying " Ma,come out here and take a gander at this." She came out, left the door open and together they are standing taking in the view, maybe if you look you can still see them holding hands.
