The Oliver Cabin in Cades Cove. This required that I walk a mile and a half into the cove at dusk, set up, and after taking the photos, walk back out in the dark. I want to thanks by assistants, Smoky the Bear, who dropped by in the dark to help me hasten my work and the Iphone app Photopills who helped me get the Milky way in the right position. Please use the download to view this image.

Thanks for looking.

Thank you jaymatt. Photopills allowed me to find the optimum time and date to be there. I used yellow balloons to cover my flash heads to tint the cabin "lights" then merged the natural world exposure with the light to get the final product. I did have a major discussion with the bear that showed up when I was trying to shoot. He just walked up the the place I had set up my tripod. Thankfully he didn't knock it over.

Thanks for looking

Treadwl..., if I Shot for another 20 years ... and achieved anything close to your shot ...I will have died and gone to Heaven ....you could internationally submit this to multiple photo contests and win them all ...The set up and composition of this shot is beyond incredible and shows pure talent and perseverance on your part ...no need to ask for the type of camera and settings .., this was all your talent .., the photographer .. COPYWRITE it .. and share it with the world ...

Thank you yssirk123. Composition was hard because the main angle of view was determined by the Milky Way. I only had a little bit of wiggle room. It actually took 2 nights, first to see exactly where the MW would be so I could properly light the cabin and then the second night to put it all together.
