This might be a dumb question. I just wonder how people create their nice signatures at the bottom of their photos. And how do u paste it to your photo. I use lightroom

I created mine from what I learned in a video... through Photoshop. As I did not master the ability to paste it, in bulk well, in PS... I use another program (free) for doing that, plus some other bulk processing, called PhotoScape.

My personal taste is that I don’t like fancy signatures or any at all. In many cases they distract from the photo. Study the grandmasters and see how they signed their paintings.

That really wasn’t the question was it? I didn’t see anywhere in the OP where he said “what do you think about signatures on images”. Did he?

I created a logo with Photoshop and turned it into a watermark, I used this guys video to help me out somewhat. This is a good idea if you are processing multiple photos, good luck and happy shooting.

Photologo created mine but there are tons of videos on YouTube that will show you how to do it. It’s not hard. But PhotoLogo was about $40 so it was cheap and easy.

If you have the subscription version of LR then you have access to Photoshop. If not you can skip this.
I created signature brushes in PS following tutorials that are available in YouTube.
By putting the signature on its own layer in PS you have complete control over size, color, location, opacity, etc.
I created PS actions that automatically create the new layer, zoom the image to fit the screen and select the signature brush I want to use.
It sounds complicated but you only have to do the brush(s) and action(s) once then everything is easy.

In lightroom when you export your photo go to the "watermarking" tab. You can do it there.

In photoshop put your image on the bottom layer, then on the layer above it create your text.

If you like the copyright on an image you see on this site, you can send a message to them and ask how they did it, or who created it for them.

I use one of my photo editors to add the text, but only for on-line postings.

If you mean 'watermark', you have all the tools you need in Lightroom. Simply google Lightroom Watermark and you'll have free access to all the information you need. Then, read or watch and learn and do.

You can put a watermark on an image in Lightroom. It's an option in the export dialog.

But if you are serious about copyrighting a photo, you need to register it with the Copyright Office in Washington DC. A watermark ain't worth squat if you end up in court attempting to defend your right against unauthorized use of an image.

You can design one yourself, or...

As for placing it in your image, Lightroom can easily do it.
