I always, always go to B & H first, find my item, and read the reviews there, then Adorama. I don't trust Amazon reviews as much. For in-depth, Ken Rockwell and dpreview. I guarantee you'll get a really good feel for the camera.

I went from the D5100 to the D7200 a year and a half ago. No regrets.
I believe Nikon has them on sale. That is always a plus.

I recently upgraded from a D7200 to the D500. Like many I felt that the D7500 was not an improvement over the D7200. Great camera, and should pretty much do whatever you want. I would not hesitate to grab one while you can as they have been (or are being) discontinued and are harder to find.

I've had my D7200 for about two years love it, never had any problems. I'm just a snapshooting hobbiest and put about 5,000+ clicks in two years (I own/use 2 other Nikon DSLRs). chase

I have a 7200 and the D500. Both are excellent cameras. have had the 7200 a couple of years with no problems as was the case with the 7100 I had before that. Not all Amazon reviews are on the oney as some buyers get off ontangents or think the price too high for what they perceive they received.

I love my D7200! I upgraded from the D3100 after reading so many good reviews on sites that actually deal mainly with photography equipment. I like Amazon, but would not go to that mixed bag for my camera reviews! I am thinking about getting a 2nd D7200 as a backup. I mostly shoot my very active 1, 3 & 6 year old grandchildren and I also love to shoot at night by the firelight (I have gotten some really fun pictures of my oldest granddaughter blowing bubbles at night) and my D7200 keeps up with it all. 5 star rating in my book!

I have both the 5100 and the 7200. Used the 5100 for about three years, shot lots of pictures, then got the 7200. Never regretted the decision. The 7200 is a great camera. I have no idea why anyone on Amazon would give it a bad review. The 7200 has a higher megapixel sensor, better low light performance, dual card slots, a drive motor in the camera so you can use lenses without an internal drive motor, and better external controls. It is an overall improvement over the 5100. And with the Nikon sale now, you can get some good prices on the 7200. if you buy it, You will not regret the decision.

I've had a D7200 for some time now and love it. It replaced my D7100. The 7200 is a much superior camera. Go for it.

I shoot pro with 2, D7200's. Each carries a different lens for sports. Which means no lens changes during a shoot, I just change cameras. I put about 2000 images a week and more than that on a real busy week on each one. I love the high ISO. I try to stay away from the 25600 but it is ok if that is the best lighting you can get. The high ISO means I can use standard DX zooms without paying for the higher f stop zoom(like f1.8 or f 2.8)

I have the D 7200. After a few months, something happened with the computer. Basically it would not work in auto, shutter or aperature priority properly. Got wild readings. and I had to send it in for repair, which was covered by the warranty.
After I got it back, in June, 2016 it has worked fine and I really like the camera. I had a d7000 prior to that.

If my offer on eBay isn't accepted today, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I read Rockwell’s reviews of both the D7200 and D7500. His comments basically said that neither camera will produce better pictures than my D5500. So now I’m not sure. I do love that the D7000s have a focus motor, especially since I just discovered last night my Nikon 18-200 af-s lens has stopped autofocusing from 18-35mm. With the D7200 I would still be able to use it to its full capacity.

Decisions, decisions. I think I’ll just go back to bed and pull the covers over my head.

If there is a problem with the lens, the D7200 won't fix it. The focusing motor in the body is only for pre AF-s lenses.
