Is This Correct?

I like to look at current camera prices, and I was just on the Best Buy site and noticed that the NIkon D7200 with the 18-140 lens is listed for $1099.99, while the D7100 is listed at $1299.99. Can this be correct, a camera several years older in production listed for $200.00 more than the newer one? This doesn't seem right! B&H has the D7100 and the same lens shown for $996.95.

Possible, but the last couple of times I've been in BB, I found the prices higher and service not so friendly... It is my last choice store now...

Best Buy is NOT a camera store and has employees who are equally skilled at selling refrigerators and cameras. B&H is a PREMIER camera dealer. Nikon is having a sale at the moment which might explain the good price. Best of luck.

Unfortunately there are only two places to shop for cameras, other than the low end cameras, and BB is one of them. We also have a nice camera shop in downtown Anchorage where I'll likely be doing all my shopping in the future.

You also have B&H and Dodd camera and one other one that I cannot remember the name to.

last look at B&H D7200 was around $850 for body only. and might be on sale for less now.

Understand - I know what it's like to have limited resources available - 2hrs to a decent camera shop - so now I use Adorama, B&H and Cameta for my gear - excellent service and best prices when the sales are on

The problem with using B&H and all is that their free shipping only applies to the continental U.S.. Shipping to Alaska is very expensive, and some places won't ship to Alaska at all. I tried to order a battery for my camera yesterday through Amazon. The vendor would not ship it to Alaska, even at a price. Fortunately I was able to have it shipped, free, to my grandson's address in Montana where we are going tomorrow. I'll pick it up there. I love living up here, but there are some downsides.

Spent some time on Adak back in the late 80's - and a some overnighters in Anchorage -
Would like to spend more time and see the state - it's on my to-do list...
Limited shipping - yeah, that's not fun - but more excuses to see the grand-kids though
