I think the tripod for a 50 caliber machine gun would hold it, but you would have to lie down to look through it...

The hell with the tripod. Any photographer worth his salt would hand-hold.

They could cut 15 pounds off the lens if they removed the massive gold Nikon brand ring from the barrel of the lens.

Nah! A used Civil War canon cart seem more in line with what it needs. But you have to supply the horse to pull it. Just remove the canon and add the lens.

Hiring a Sherpa to carry it can really add to the long term costs - not to mention the weight and construction of the cinder block tripod! 😂
