NAH. I much prefer the Nikon vs Canon or the Mac vs PC!

One issue that might make a buying decision to stick with OEM is that Nikon may not repair a camera that had non OEM batteries used in it at their discretion plus if damage is caused by an OEM battery then repairs to camera may be repaired for free except shipping charges, also OEM batteries have been recalled by Nikon at no charge for exchange, I doubt non OEM Mfgs. Would extend that courtesy or help resolve damage to camera due to any fault of theirs.

I have a Nikon D3300 Camera with two genuine EN-EL14a Batteries.
I would like another EN-EL14a battery, should I consider used or only New?
I have read that I should NOT use "Off-Brand" batteries due to the possibility they might do damage to my Nikon D3300, but the Genuine Nikon EN-EL14a are so expensive.
Please provide your knowledge on this issue that may help me decide.

I have and always will use only the OM batteries! I do not find them that expensive, as they are just a tiny portion of the cost of the camera, but do make everything go!

I've been using BM Premium ENEL15 batteries in my D500 and D7200 for a while now and they have performed as good as the OEM batteries and they cost a good bit less. I also have Watson and Wasabi batteries for both Canon and Nikon.

Now you’re talkin. Maybe after that we could play, Which is better, Nikon or Canon with a few red herrings thrown in like Pentax, Sony or maybe even Leica.

The search feature needs to include a FAQ section to help folks out.

I have used Wasabi batteries in my Nikon D3300 for a long time with no adverse results. I buy them on eBay at a fraction of the cost of the OEM batteries.

For the other guys: I use UV or Clear filters on all my lenses for protection. I also wear a belt AND suspenders. Can't be too careful.😋

Did you know that most of the wasabi in the US is actually horseradish?

Doesn’t wasabi come from the Irish green horseradish?

On a serious note my father used to pick horseradish when I was about four years old. He then ground it himself in an old hand grinder. For people who cry when peeling onions the grinding of horseradish gives a whole new level of watering eyes.
