So great to see so many quilters on here. I quilted for about 25 years, all by hand, until my hands would not allow me to do it anymore. From there I progressed to Digital Scrapbooking and photography, which work hand in hand to tell a story. I am also an advid baker and cook, love gardening, but also love fishing and tent camping. And yes, I do bait my own hook and clean my own fish. Keeping God,family and friends first in my life is most important. Life is good....

I've never quilted though I've hidden under a quilt blanket.
I enjoy photography, computers, reading, writing, eating, drinking, working, gardening, cleaning, yard work, (and other stuff I may admit enjoying but fail with the lie detector).
I really do love baking and cooking (which comes hand in hand with my eating enjoyment).
Keeping the correct order in God, family, and friends is most important! And yes... Life is GOOD!
Oh yeah... and I like to du Sudoku tu!

My entire adult life I've had three major hobbies: Motorcycle touring, Computers & photography. The three really go well together as I use the bike to get me to a shooting site and my computer to edit and process the photos. Earlier in life I was an artist, majoring in fine arts in college. I developed an eye for composition, color & light that easily carried over into photography.

Now retired and living alone my life is very full. While working I was a slave of the weather, always praying for a weekend that had decent shooting conditions. Now I can go anywhere anytime. Every day is a holiday or weekend. I'm free to pursue my three passions.

I am a mother of 4 gorgeous sons, thus the picture, "avatar". My husband and I are raising a grandson. We have had him since birth and he is now four. My favorite subject to photograph.
I use to have tons of hobbies but now other than my ministry and family, photography is my great love. I am good enough to get by.

I am glad you enjoy photography because you deserve some YOU time! And raising a 4 year old since birth says alot about you as a person (and it's ALL GOOD)!

In 2009 I retired from a county government where I started in 1980 as a Police Dispatcher. I later became a Programmer (COBOL) / Systems Analyst on the team keeping the 9-1-1 computer system running. Learned about older AT&T telephone PBX systems and the computers associated with them. I moved up to be an IT account rep (we called it MIS Coordinator) for some of the county agencies and the Internet Coordinator for said county government. Ended up back in the 9-1-1 area and was detailed as a Background Investigator for the public safety agencies.

In 2003 I decided to prepare for my next career, so I entered the University of Maryland with 53 credits transferred from community college (1970s). I went part time for a few years, then full time wen I retired. I graduated in December (2010) with a BS in Geography (GIS & Computer Cartography) and accumulated 18 credits in studio art, half of those in photography.

I'm currently working as an intern in the NOAA cartography unit, editing the road and railroad database for use in electronic marine navigation charts.

I am an Interior Designer working in ktchen design and space planning. I love to travel and received my Canon Rebel as a gift from my husband before a trip to Italy with my daughter. I started getting serious with my photo hobby when I saw some of my kitchens in print. My grandchildren (the sixth is on her way) are my favorite subjects but I love anything to do with nature!
I used to enjoy knitting, crocheting and needlework but I am all consumed with my camera and PP right now. Because I do design on line, I developed a website under my employer's logo to showcase my work annd a business facebook page. These focus only on "my work" and not on the fun things I like to photograph so I have just started a Flickr page for my enjoyment.

I love this forum and get into the office an hour early every day to read my newsletter with a cup of coffee!

I am enjoying reading everyones post on what they like to do. Hobbies now are, Photography, riding on the back of our motorcycle, Stampin Up card making, scrapbooking. I have 3 daughters and 1 son and their spouses plus 12 grandchildren ages 3-15. We used to fish, we used to golf, but if the weather was good enough to do those things then it was good enough to ride. Love to travel and can't wait for my husband to retire so we can do more....
