You're up early. You a night-worker, too? I'm just curious.

Funny story. Yes, I am a night worker on Sunday nights. I do overnight shift for a lady with Parkinson Disease. I usually hang out here on UHH until about 2am (after she gets up to use the potty) and we had a less than pleasant incident this morning involving calling the ambulance crew to help me get her up off of the floor. She didn't fall, but her legs became too weak and froze up, so I lowered her to the floor. That's not the funny part. Obviously.

I had JUST gotten to "napping" (which is allowed during her over nights) and my boss Tammy from Photo Studio texted me saying our google calendar was completely empty! Well, that sprung me right up to figure out why and where all of our appointments had disappeared to. I have no idea WHY it disappeared but I found it, and that major adrenaline rush has me bright eyed and bushy tailed, for sure. Whew! Ok...maybe that wasn't so funny either.

I'm thinking Tammy owes me a nice Applebees dinner for that one...

I see. Well, working at a hospital, I work all shifts. Tonight - or last night, rather - I was asked to work 7 pm until 7:30 am to cover for someone who called in sick. So, here I am - neither bright-eyed nor bushy tailed. In fact, me eyes are blurry and me tail's certainly dragging.

It's good of you to take care of the woman. It speaks well of you. I'm glad you were there to help her when she fell.

Wow, you lost your Google calendar, did you? Bet that got your undivided attention. Where did you find the thing? And I agree with you: Tammy does, indeed, owe you a dinner, at the Applebees level at the very minimum.

I don't know what happened for sure, but earlier I was trying to merge Photo Studio calendar with my personal calendar (as I manage the health care team/scheduling for my Parkinson's lady) and I must have clicked something "off". I noticed the box beside my name was not highlighted so I clicked it. And Viola! Whew. That would have been a horrible mess, showing up to work on Tuesday and not knowing who may or may not come in over the next month or so.

I still don't know how to merge my 2 calendars, even though Google says it's possible. Darn it. I'd be best to leave it alone, I'm thinkin'. Eeeeps.

So I guess maybe I'd better not push that Applebees dinner. Most likely MY fault for the calendar disappearance. Darn it. My mouth was already watering for that steak and garlic mashed taters.

Hey, you got the thing back, didn't you? That's a good thing. As to who was at fault, what does it matter? Besides, you don't need to claim the blame. Maybe you didn't do anything wrong; maybe it's a glitch in Google.

So, yeah, a nice dinner for getting the calendar back is very much in order.

Ya know, that steak and garlic mashed taters does sound lovely, especially with a fine Scot's whisky or beverage of your choice.

Hi, there. I am Henry. I had been thinking about selling my photos at a flea market for 2 years. I set up my photos at a farmer's market (went out of the box). It was encouraging and then my wife, Barb, and I finally set up at the flea market. Traders Mart is the biggest flea market in Minnesota and they run on Memorial Day, Fouth of July and Labor Day weekends. We also have done some town festivals. We both enter our photos in county fair photo contests. 2012 will be the start of our 3rd year of doing this. Don't plan on making a lot of money at first but once your name gets out, you get a good following. We have been married for 45 years and are both on a forced early retirement due to the economy and another company taking over the contract of the plce where we worked.
This weekend will be our 3rd craft fair in a month. They are the smaller ones in local churches. Hope I don't jinx this weekend but the last two craft fairs have been very good. Happy shooting and thanks for your idea.
I have been a stamp collector since I was 10. My wife collects lady bug things.
Hi, there. I am Henry. I had been thinking about... (show quote)

Henry, Do you mount them, or mat/frame them before you sell them?-Cynthia

I guess i'l use this as my introduction. I've been shooting pictures for as long as I remember, but I'm not a pro. I just enjoy nature and aircraft. I kinda retired 4 years ago after being laid off. With the job market the way it is I haven't found a real job. I started shooting weddings last year, that lets me earn something. I worked in aviation for 36 years so I have quite a collection of aircraft pictures. My hobbies would be photoraphy, Boy Scouting (34 years now) and anythng outdoors. About 2 years ago I started mentoring boys on line. I work with a boys home and deal with boys who refuse to talk to the counselors and doctors. I have found it gives me a prpose in life now. Kind of a Pay It Forward thing. In Aug of last year I was told I had cancer, kinda of a life changing event. After surgery I am supposedly cancer free. So now I don't take life so seriously. I'm spending as much time as I can with my 5 grand children.
Thanks for the site, I've been looking around now for a couple o weeks.

Hey, what's that thread where everyone's uploading photos of themselves? Just when I got nerve enough to scare the bejeebus out of everyone, now I can't find the thread.

So I just put in my avatar.

(One of my favorite lines from "Cat in the Hat): Ok.....scream and run.
