Extraordinary printer. No issues. Canon ink is on the expensive side but I don't trust third party ink.
the Canon Pro 100 is my main photo printer and makes great prints Just remember to use the ICC for the paper you are using to print and let the printing program control the color

It used to cost about $100 after rebates. That was good/. It's very big, very heavy, and the ink is expensive. It does a great job of printing, though.
I still have my original Pro 9000 which I use sporadically; the amazing thing is I let it sit for perhaps a year or two, and I plugged it in and made a batch of prints with no problems. The word is that the Epson printer heads have a tendency to clog easily, but the Canons rarely do.
I have one, and I love it, I have used it for reprints and also scanning and I have had no issues
Thanks everyone for your input on my query. You've all helped a lot.
Love the printer, but I can't print 11x14 prints. I called Canon and they told me that 11x14 is not a chinese size. I'm still trying to figure out how to print a custom size print. I was directed to feed paper into the manual feed in the back of the printer. Didn't work, but I"m still trying.
i use the pro 100 for large prints only and my 8220 for smaller images. Great printer.

I use Ink Farm. 1/2 the cost. No problems for over 1 year. When you go through 2 sets of inks you just paid for a new printer.
It quite sad that it does not print 11x14, but for other then that it is a wonderful printer. Canon has been making a problem for themselves by not being able to print 11x14. In this electronic age their reasoning is not plausible.

Is the problem that it can't print 11x14 or that it doesn't use 11x14 paper? Can't you print on 13 x 19 with a big border and cut it down? I know that isn't the best solution. Maybe there is a workaround.
It cannot print 11x14. If you use Lightroom or Photoshop, Red River paper has a work around by resizing. I use neither so I am stuck.

I'm having a bugger of a time scanning with my Pixma Pro-100 - would you please describe your procedure? Thanks in advance.
Wanting to print 11x14 prints I purchased 50 sheets of Red River Paper. I think I will call Red River and see what they say.

Can't it be done with custom settings? My 9000 mk II wouldn't print on disc media either, but a firmware update and a disc tray easily fixed that problem.
My printer seems to think that it can do 11x14, but I have no reason for running a test beyond preview mode...
