I seriously doubt that the likes of Toyota or Honda Subaru etc... has those issues. My newly released EM1 was just like a toyota for 3 years.

Obviously, this thread is about leading (bleeding) edge equipment. Your Olympus is more comparable to a d3xxx or d5xxx. As for cars, they all (including Toyota) have problems during their first year out. Just look at second year out ads. All the improvements they claim reflect initial production/design problems. Note, I'm not talking about mid cycle "new cars." Don't you find Toyota's vehicles to be boring to drive but dependable?

That is why I mentioned my EM1 -even after 3 years it is a relevant camera - keeps getting amazing updates. You are showing your ignorance if you think the EM1 is comparable to those entry level cameras.

Of course every can company has some initial issues, but how many does Toyota or the other top rated Japanese brands need to fix compared to some well known trouble makers?

Toyotas being boring? People buy those cars for dependability not because the driver is a racer. First 0f all 55mph is what is boring, so nobody wins. Out of curiosity, what car do you drive and which was the last toyota model that you have driven?

Toyotas go full throttle, with the driver being able to do anything about it, which kills people and Toyota lied about it

You're right! The em1 is much more like the d7200. A fine camera that I use instead of a TC1.4 iii. In the past I owned a couple of OM2s. Very lite and small, but, too fragile for my work.

Currently I own two $42,000 KIA Sorentos. Three hundred horsepower, zero to sixty in 6.5 seconds, SUV crossovers. A silver one for me and a white one for my wife. In Montana speed limits are somewhat optional.

My last Toyota was a Land Cruiser bob tail. A fine vehicle that we jeeped all over Colorado. Last year I did rent a Camrey in Italy for a month. Boring car.

Not anymore and all one needed to do is take it out of gear. Of course when it happens to you you panic. So are you saying that toyotas are not boring to drive?

I have both never experienced the problem, but rarely shoot at 1/8000. Have you checked the card you are writing to

Basically the problem appears to be when the D500 is matched with an early version of the Nikon 200-500 f5.6. I recently took my lens and mounted it on another D500 body and experienced the same problem. Did it at any shutter speed and on single exposures and 10 fps settings. So, again, it appears it has something to do with early versions of the Nikon 200-500 f5.6 lens when matched with a D500.
