I would respectfully disagree! I am a professional and I now only shoot digital. If I were to shoot film, it would, most likely, be with my medium format gear. I do plan to shoot film in the future, but for personal reasons and for fun. I'm sure some pros still shoot film for some things but it doesn't seem enough that any new film cameras have been released in quite some time, except for fun. Best of luck.
It all depends on the type of work you do. Many pros shoot more film than digital. RIT still teaches film and their course load is pretty even between the two and there is a reason for it. If you don't use film, then you are just not doing work that would deem it's usage; doesn't mean others don't. If I was doing a job professionally, many times I would use film over digital; especially in B & W or when texture was important for the photograph.
