For us it's been, as you know, a Super Christmas season....The trip to California and the advent of the delivery of our 9th Grand, Nathan! So I'll post some of
those pictures as a starter and hope you can think of examples you might have that are either current or of old! Have fun and show us your stuff!...:)[/quote
That is definitely a memorable one for you all for sure. Our first grandson is a Nathan.
Memorable Christmas brings to mind so many from childhood in Coon Holler, parenthood, to grandparenthood. Most recently a couple years back when the "Elf on the Shelf" got real popular at the daughter's household, the elf was moving all over the house every night. The kids were having a lot of fun finding which shelf in the house the little guy had moved to overnight and they were instructed not to touch him. Well the morning of the night before, the night before, the night before Christmas (that would be the eve of the eve of Christmas Eve) little Claire found him and as instructed left him. Daughter got home from work anticipating some family arrival and turned the oven on to preheat for pizza she had planned before changing out of her work attire..........
Definitely a chuckle -well done, Larry! Funny, funny stuff!
Will have to get back tonight-working all day today..got some cool old pix to share of ancestors gone by that my sister brought down for me on Christmas...See you later...have fun remembering!

That is just way too funny! But am glad the elf on the oven shelf did not need the fire department!
Thank you Larry! Much appreciated!

I don't know folks with "real" trees these days! I could almost smell that one.
I am preparing the final challenge of the year and will be back w the link.

Try this one, Pat...NO plastic trees up here....
Well, as promised, here are a few of the people who are responsible for great memories at Christmas celebrations past. When I was a child we would all pile into our family car and head for Woodbridge,Ct, to visit our grand parents . we looked forward to Christmas gifts from our maternal grandparents and our maternal aunts and uncles! This was taking place in the 40's and 50's..I remember lots of fun and an out house still in operation in the late 40's...What a novelity experience to walk out in the freezing weather to the little house with a half moon on the door! Any way here are my maternal grand parents, photos probably taken in early 40's.

Well, you do know some folks with real trees...but we had to buy a fake one this year due to our trip to Ca. Got to say this is the very first we've had ever!!!! Much easier to Maintain, I must say!!#!!:)
