I sold two more of my abstracts this week and I have no reserves. As you know I have been working on a series of photos with my pendant as the main subject. I get my inspiration from music that I listen to. So here are three that I will print out, mat and frame.

"Where There is Smoke There is Fire"

"Don't Forget to Dance"

Here's one from yesterday's family get together...Not the best pix. but certainly memorable!

A COUPLE FROM THE MIDNIGHT SERVICE AT OUR CHURCH...

So maybe not your best shots - but certainly among your best memories and wonderful to see. Interesting how many have such different memories, traditions and at the same time how many of us have similar memories and traditions.

I had my own shop and restored many cars, then I worked for dealerships and did most of the old stuff mainly Jaguars.
Been to Moosehead Lake many times, had a relative with a float plane there.
My dad was stationed at a number of lights, Rockland Breakwater, Monhegan Island, Whitehead, Deer Island Thorofare, Moose Peak, Mark Island.
I scanned about 4000 slides my Dad took back then, he is a pretty avid photographer.

Such memories, Bob.J. What a gift too - all those memories he captured. Been to Monhegan, Rockland. Squaw Mtn has been renamed to be more politically correct....Big Moose Mountain. But everyone still calls it Big Squaw.

As I reported earlier, on Christmas Day evening the winds came up & blew 70 mph. Here are a couple of the BIG pine trees from our neighborhood
that laid down on their sides due to the wind.... These were 30-40 ft. tall trees!

That's a shame, Lavonne! I love evergreens-shelter for so many birds!

[quote=judy juul]For us it's been, as you know, a Super Christmas season....The trip to California and the advent of the delivery of our 9th Grand, Nathan! So I'll post some of

those pictures as a starter and hope you can think of examples you might have that are either current or of old! Have fun and show us your stuff!...:)[/quote

That is definitely a memorable one for you all for sure. Our first grandson is a Nathan.

Memorable Christmas brings to mind so many from childhood in Coon Holler, parenthood, to grandparenthood. Most recently a couple years back when the "Elf on the Shelf" got real popular at the daughter'™s household, the elf was moving all over the house every night. The kids were having a lot of fun finding which shelf in the house the little guy had moved to overnight and they were instructed not to touch him. Well the morning of the night before, the night before, the night before Christmas (that would be the eve of the eve of Christmas Eve) little Claire found him and as instructed left him. Daughter got home from work anticipating some family arrival and turned the oven on to preheat for pizza she had planned before changing out of her work attire..........

….yep you guessed it, Elf on the Wrong Shelf.
….yep you guessed it, Elf on the Wrong Shelf....

This year as I pulled up the drive at their place I spied a much smarter version of the Elf. He wasn’t trusting anyone in the house and found a high spot on a string of lights spanning over the driveway where no one could reach him.
This year as I pulled up the drive at their place ...

Don't ever remember RAIN for Christmas! Younger son was home from Chicago. When we took him back to Omaha, we left in drizzle. We ran into deep fog
in North Omaha. He did get out on his flight & home safely. As we were returning home, we ran into a bank of torrential rain...couldn't even see the road!
That lasted 4-5 minutes. Was pretty scary! When we got home the sun broke out & there was a double rainbow in the eastern sky. In the west at sunset
the red reflected off the clouds. What a Christmas!!!

Happy New Year 2017 to UHHers!
Don't ever remember RAIN for Christmas! Younger so... (show quote)

Nicely captured Lavonne, too bad about the wind damage to Pines in Norfolk there.

Well, we have had many memorable Christmases - many of which exist in albums and not in digital files. A very memorable one was the year we were engaged - Christmas Eve 1969 (married in June 1970) Jim presented me with the biggest diamond I'd ever seen. Later we walked across the street to our neighbor's annual "Santa Supper" and enjoyed a very memorable evening together with many others. The family one liner every year is: "This was the best Christmas ever!" And this year was the same. 47 years later, this was the best Christmas ever - our son came home for the day, and today we were with our daughter and family. (Our tree this year was a non traditional one) For us, it's not about the presents (fun watching surprised faces -young and old), not about the food. It's about traditions, our faith, and being together - priceless!
Well, we have had many memorable Christmases - man... (show quote)

Definitely good memories there.
