For us it's been, as you know, a Super Christmas season....The trip to California and the advent of the delivery of our 9th Grand, Nathan! So I'll post some of

those pictures as a starter and hope you can think of examples you might have that are either current or of old! Have fun and show us your stuff!...:)

I wish they would never grow up. Not sure who has the most fun, the kids or me?

Well, we have had many memorable Christmases - many of which exist in albums and not in digital files. A very memorable one was the year we were engaged - Christmas Eve 1969 (married in June 1970) Jim presented me with the biggest diamond I'd ever seen. Later we walked across the street to our neighbor's annual "Santa Supper" and enjoyed a very memorable evening together with many others. The family one liner every year is: "This was the best Christmas ever!" And this year was the same. 47 years later, this was the best Christmas ever - our son came home for the day, and today we were with our daughter and family. (Our tree this year was a non traditional one) For us, it's not about the presents (fun watching surprised faces -young and old), not about the food. It's about traditions, our faith, and being together - priceless!
Well, we have had many memorable Christmases - man... (show quote)

Great story,Pat! Nice family get togethers..Traditions really seem to meld families and bring the past relatives alive on our thoughts and minds!

Just the two of us, once again as a long time ago. Had a great meal with a fairly good wine. Opened presents (only three for each...you promised). FaceTime with with kids and grandkids....lots of noise and wrapping paper. After grandson came close to the iPhone and said, "Merry Christmas" we signed off, filled up the wine glasses, watched a movie (that we thought was going to be better than it was), and tucked in for a long winter's nap. Perfect!

To all UHHers: Have an interesting 2017!

Don't ever remember RAIN for Christmas! Younger son was home from Chicago. When we took him back to Omaha, we left in drizzle. We ran into deep fog
in North Omaha. He did get out on his flight & home safely. As we were returning home, we ran into a bank of torrential rain...couldn't even see the road!
That lasted 4-5 minutes. Was pretty scary! When we got home the sun broke out & there was a double rainbow in the eastern sky. In the west at sunset
the red reflected off the clouds. What a Christmas!!!

Happy New Year 2017 to UHHers!

My husband has had Austin Healeys which he restored (now he does motorcycles instead of cars), so he is my mechanic. They always need a tinker. He restores vehicles to show; said I wanted one to drive! Really do enjoy it - and on the look out for those in huge high vehicles who either don't/or pretend they don't see you! Have been through Parkman numerous times on our way to/from Moosehead Lake. In 2010 says the population of Parkman was 843. Wonder which lights your Dad kept going. Interesting. Have a great New Year, Bob.J

I had my own shop and restored many cars, then I worked for dealerships and did most of the old stuff mainly Jaguars.
Been to Moosehead Lake many times, had a relative with a float plane there.
My dad was stationed at a number of lights, Rockland Breakwater, Monhegan Island, Whitehead, Deer Island Thorofare, Moose Peak, Mark Island.
I scanned about 4000 slides my Dad took back then, he is a pretty avid photographer.
