Actually, I use continuous shooting with the D7100. Even though the D7200 could possibly hold more pictures in the buffer while shooting, I have not run into a problem with that.

Yet another reason for the poster to go with the D7100.

Buying a refurb D7100 from Adorama was a great experience. I've had the camera several years now and couldn't be happier. Good outfit to deal with. I'd get the new D-7200.

If It's in your purchase range, the new technology in the D7200 is the way to go, grab one and don't look back!

Jim Bob, the spelling issue drives me crazy as much as you but you're fighting a losing battle. The population has been 'stupefied' and the usual justification is ' Well, you know what I meant '.

Geesus. You are absolutely right and I am gratified to learn there is at least one other person on this site which acknowledges the dumbing down of the population. Bravo and thank you very much.

I bought a D7100 and am very happy with its pictures. I don't wish to upgrade to the D7200 just because its newer and has one or two features that I don't need. If you can't find something in the D7200 that is worth the extra money TO YOU, why buy it?

Posting it twice does not make it more persuasive.

The other goodie that the 7200 has is an internal WiFi Connection.

I’d read that in order to have the built-in Wi-Fi work with the D7200, that Nikon had to remove some of the Titanium shell and replace it with plastic as the metal was preventing the Wi-Fi from working properly. Makes sense as the weight of the D7200 is a little bit less than that of the D7100.

STUBS: I bought the d7100 from Adorama body only in July and I have no complaints, it had 620 shots on it, but that is no big deal. I have never had a problem with Adorama, they have been good to me. The camera is great!

Got mine (from Adorama) back in November. Shutter count was 599. $489 “Black Friday” special.

Precisely why I went with the D7100, instead. Didn’t need the Wi-Fi (I don’t mind sticking the card into the computer or using a cable) and the buffer is just fine for my needs. AND, at $489, how could I pass it up? It was less than half the price of the D7200.
