Has anyone used Adorama ? The d7200 and d7100 on sale refurbished. The d7200 for $769.00 and the d7100 for
$539.95. I'm thinking the d7100 because their almost the same camera. What do you think ? Also I've learned so
much from everyone. THANK YOU!!

I was torn between those two myself and decided there was not enough daylight between them to justify the extra cost. I now have 2 D7100's - one purchased new from B&H and the other purchased refurbished from Adorama. I love them both. The buffer is not an issue for me and I shoot birds in flight and high school sports for a yearbook company. I also use Sandisk Extreme Plus 80mb/s cards and just ordered two more from Costco but I believe the new ones are even faster at 90mb/s Class 10 cards - $19.99 each with free shipping at costco.com Only ordering new ones because I somehow LOST 2 of my cards. I use only 32GB cards.

I bought a D7200 about 6 weeks ago from Adorama when they last ran the $769 special for refurbished bodies. When I got mine it looked new. It had 15 clicks on the shutter. So far, I am very impressed with it. Now I am looking to sell my hardly used D7000 body, as I no longer have use for it.

I recently purchased the refurbished d7200 from Adorama for $769 and I am quite happy with it. Camera only had 4000 clicks on it and looks brand new. Adorama is a great store and I shop there often. I too, thought about purchasing the d7100 but when I looked at the differences between the two, I felt it was worth the extra $230 for me. Ultimately you need to decide if those extra features/functions on the D7200 are worth it to you. Either way you would be purchasing a great camera from a great store. Good luck.

That would be "they are" or "they're" not "their" almost the same camera.

Jim Bob, the spelling issue drives me crazy as much as you but you're fighting a losing battle. The population has been 'stupefied' and the usual justification is ' Well, you know what I meant '.

STUBS: I bought the d7100 from Adorama body only in July and I have no complaints, it had 620 shots on it, but that is no big deal. I have never had a problem with Adorama, they have been good to me. The camera is great!

I got the 7100 as a refurb with only 12 shots on it. It's my first Nikon and so far liking it. I especially like the dual SD slots for RAW and JPEG. For me the faster buffer of the 7200 isn't that important. I try to stay as far from sports as I can.

I recently purchased the D7200 from Adorama for the $769.00 special. I already have the D5300 with the Expeed 4 processor, so to step back to the Expeed 3 just didn't make any sense. The D7100 is a great camera, my friends have them, and are very happy. I've found the D7200 to be an amazing camera and if you shoot BIF, I think you will as well. I love this camera so much that I'm, going to purchase another one and retire the 5300. As far as Adorama goes, they are a class act, they'll answer all your questions in depth and the shipping is like lightning. Also, purchase the insurance package they offer as it's cost I believe is only $24.95 for an additional 2 years of coverage. I also use the SanDisc Extreme Pro 95mb/s. Good luck in your decision and have fun Shooting !!

I bought a D7100 and am very happy with its pictures. I don't wish to upgrade to the D7200 just because its newer and has one or two features that I don't need. If you can't find something in the D7200 that is worth the extra money TO YOU, why buy it?

Bought the 7200 from Adorama about 5-6 weeks ago as a referb and have not had any problem with it at all. It had about 700 clicks on it as a referb. Its a back up to our FX cameras. So far the images are not that much different than what we get off the 800 or 810. What's nice is the light weight and size difference. A lot of our equipment has been bought through Adorama and we have never been disappointed. Leon

It looks like the majority recommend the 7200 and you can't go wrong with Adorama, they are an amazing company.

If you want to shot many frames a second and want to be able to take several pictures in a row using continuous shooting mode, go with the D7200, if the answer is no, then go with the D7100.

Actually, I use continuous shooting with the D7100. Even though the D7200 could possibly hold more pictures in the buffer while shooting, I have not run into a problem with that.
