How our you able to view exif data...............don't mean to veer off topic, I just haven't been able to wade through all the FAQ and am not smart enough to figure it out.

One way, if you have Windows: download the image to your computer. Right-click and select properties/details.

There are also free viewers you can put on your computer:

There's different ways. Here's one I use. http://regex.info/exif.cgi. It will read the exif from the website itself or from an image on your computer/tablet.

When a photo has "download" under it, click on "download" and wait for it to come in fully. Basic EXIF info will be in the upper left corner when you put the cursor on it. It may take a while to come in.

Not aware it's anything outside of UHH. That's not for any photo downloaded into my computer - only the photo on UHH that has "download" under it. I'm using Chrome browser.

To the best of my knowledge it's a function of UHH.

I believe it's in your browser. I could not view exif on UHH as you describe until I got the app. Chrome has a couple of free apps for exif viewing, and actually it might be that Chrome automatically puts it on the browser now. For others interested, see their store at:

EDIT - you have EXIF Viewer enabled in Chrome.

I use a similar one and find it has more details.

That probably explains why I couldn't see EXIF on one of your photos - I must have been using Firefox at the time. I just assumed you had stripped the EXIF.

How was the filter set?

If I remember rightly, for the harbour shot (above the lighthouse ones) all I did was rotate the filter till the glare on the water was minimised. I wasn't watching what it did to the beams, so I don't know if they were maximised or minimised. And I don't remember re-setting it for the lighthouse shot, so it was probably the same setting.

Terrific series, plessner. Every one is inspiring! Thanks so much for posting.

thank you Linda
I shoot in Shutter priority a lot and leave my app set at 22 and then I can quickly switch to app priority if I see a quick sunburst possibility happen

Terrific impact with the silhouette and sun dog! All are superb.

Can you talk about your set-up for the last shot, water drop close-up. Advice, tips?

Thank you!

thanks Linda, I remember I was driving out of my yard and noticed the sundogs--always usually have the camera in the car so just had to stop for a quick shot!

I was in a sunflower field in the early morning and didn't really do anything special as the sunbursts were a happy surprise rather then planned. I looked back at the properties of that photo and I was at 100 ISO f/11 1/200 ex with a focal length of 150mm. So after seeing these numbers I am really wondering myself how this photo came together!!!
