We have them all Summer here at the cottage, but, they are very wary and usually take off if we're closer that 100 feet.

Thanks very much Pierre and so glad that you liked, and yes, ours are very wary also. We were at a campsite beside a fairly large stream or inlet that connected directly into Lake Okeechobee and only stayed one night. I was up before light the next morning hoping to see some birds and as visibility gradually increased I could faintly see some white spots in the trees across the stream from us. As they became more visible it was unbelievable! There were Great, Snowy and Cattle Egrets, White Ibis and then with a little more light I could make out,several Brown Pelicans, Cormorants, Black Vultures and some others that I really could not identify, as many began to leave their roost very early. It was only after visibility was much better that I could make out the Great Blue Herons.
