As I was processing this close-up of a white horse behind the brown one, I felt that it could be an image of a horse dreaming about another horse. Did I succeed in conveying that mood? If not, your suggestions would be much appreciated :)

I get it. It only works so well because you used a high key approach to this. The second, white, horse is almost just a hint of an animal. I don't know about "dreaming of another horse"; but I do get a sense of remembrance as though the dark horse had lost a friend and is remembering. Either that or I might have had just a tad too much coffee at school today.

I like your idea, Erich. Thanks so much for your time and comments! Hope your evening is more restful and you switch to decaf shortly :)

Hi Linda--being a lifelong horse lover, I find your image irresistable. But what I see is an angel horse keeping a close watch over the near one. Or maybe it's the conscience of the near one. :-)

No question that your image has touched the heartstrings of everyone! I love the ghostly processing of the white horse. Whether the white horse is a dream or a memory, does that really matter? Your title conveys your intent. For me, I would cut the dark horse to where his forelock just starts to emphasize the portraiture of the image. We know we're looking at horses, and I don't think that the brown horse's body adds anything to the image. With just the two horses' heads nodding near each other, I think your message might be enhanced. Just a suggestion.

Thank you so much for taking the time to view and comment, Edie! I'm grateful for your viewpoint. Here is a cropped shot. I might not have gone quite as far as you envisioned, but I like this a lot and feel it does make the message stronger. Thanks for the mention!
