It depends on the Sony camera. The original Sony digital cameras used A-mount lenses, which could use Minolta auto-focus lenses without an adapter. I'm not familiar with an adapter to use MC/MD Minolta lenses with a Sony A-mount camera. But all of the newer Sony camera bodies with which I am familiar use E-mount lenses. If you are planning to use your Minolta lenses on a new body, make sure there is an adapter from a reliable manufacturer available to use those lenses on the new body. And you will have to focus manually, which can be difficult on a viewfinder or view screen with no split image in the center.

I have three of them, still working- two SRT 101s and a SRT 303b ; I had them all serviced- two with the F1.4 lens, and one with the F1.7 lens.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

FotodioX makes adapters . I have a Minolta SRT-101 with 7 Rokkor lenses , 3 Tamrons and 4 Vivitar Series 1 lenses , and with the adapter they all fit onto my Canon DSLR . Manual lenses of course remain manual focusing with the ability to shoot in either Aperature Priority or in Manual Mode for light metering . There is an approximate 40 % addition in crop factor and you will loose about a stop and a half . Clarity is excellent with no focusing problems or lens flare .
The Rokkor lenses are gems and being able to use these fine pieces of glass with my DSLR for 49.95 ( B&H ) was well worth it . Just make sure you purchase the adapter with the focal correction lens built into it . This allows you to focus to infinity .

I'm jealous. That Minolta SRT101 was my first camera. Bought it in Japan when I was in the Air Force and stationed there. Great camera! Ended up selling it to my brother-in-law. He won't sell it back! ;-)

Since the A6000 is a thinner body, you will either need 2 adapters (MC to A & A to E) or a Metabones MC to E. In either case you will be using your Minolta lenses completely manually(aperture & focus). If this isn't a problem, you're set. Actually, you may be able to use the aperture-preferred auto exposure mode.

MC minolta lenses were all manual.
