It's so strange. The pictures with the Minolta lenses are blurry. I put the lenses on the Minolta and it's the same thing, doens't zoom in.

Certainly sounds like the macro lens setting. I have an older Minolta 35-70mm f4 zoom and it has a macro setting. There is a tab to hold when going from regular to macro, or in the rerse direction. Without holding tab, you can't move from one to the other.

Don't know which lens you have, but look for something like that.

You can tell if you are in macro mode by looking at something fairly close, at to move the camera closer or farther away to achieve focus.

I have a 2.8 135mm, 1.4 58mm Minolta, and Vivitar 3.5 28-210mm purchased from Ebay. I have a couple of other lenses in the bag that I haven't tried on the camera yet. The picture quality with the Minolta lenses is not clear.

Where would I find the tab?

Interesting...... Before I sent my two Minoltas off (ultimately to two grandsons), I tried a few rolls of film. My 50mm f/1.7 was tack sharp, whereas my 135mm f/3.5 was generally good, but not great. The best lens, however, was my Sigma 28mm f/2.8 Macro. I have all my Minolta gear back now and, if I decide to have them CLA'd, I'll run some film through them. Now they sit on my shelf awaiting a call from any of my grandchildren who need them in high school or college classes.

So strange. I remember both lenses were so sharp, but that was about 30 years ago. What I might do is take them to PhotoTech and have them take a look at them. Maybe they need cleaning or something.

That's possible.

Hold them up to the light and view through both ends alternately.

Also, be sure you have the correct adapter and that it is functioning properly.

I say this because if the spacing is off between the rear element of the lens and the imaging sensor, you will only get blurry results.
