i thought buying Refurbished camera meant no clicks..?

Not necessarily so. I bought a refurb D3300 and it had about 900 clicks. Refurbs means that the equipment has gone back to the mAnufucturer and is inspected by a person and set to original factory parameters of new equipment, except for the clicks on cameras.

My wife also read the add before we purchased and the both of us interpreted it the same. Adorama extended the warranty another nine months.

Adorama may now be doing the same thing Cameta does, and that is to add 9 months to the Nikon warranty for service to be performed by an independent service center. At one time, Nikon had the ability to extend the 90 days out to a year, depending on the circumstances. I had that offered to me when I purchased a lens and then they sent the wrong lens, and by the time the delivery was made and I discovered the error, they were out of stock of what I wanted, so they gave me a future warranty extension if I wanted to wait until they had additional copies of the lens in stock.

I've bought from new, used and refurbished from KEH, B&H and Adorama. Most used or refurbished were perfect. Even had a couple new items I didn't care for. The few I returned were replaced or credited in minutes to a few days at most. Never the least bit dissatisfied. The only problem I have is my wife planting "No UPS or FedEx Trucks Allowed" signs on the front lawn!!! Life's tough!!!

I purchased a refurbed SB-600 flash from the Nikon Store - been great for over a year now - no complaints.

I have purchased a factory refurbed Nikon camera from Cameta Camera - was great, no problems/no complaints.

I hear good things about KEH.

I would have no issues buying factory refurbed from Cameta, Nikon, Adorama, KEH or B&H.

If you buy refurb get a FACTORY refurb. :)

I have bought several refurbed Nikons from cameta...they will extend the refurb Nikon warranty from 90 days to 1 year...

Never a problem

I have bought my camera and several lenses refurbed by Nikon from Cameta and Buydig. Extended the warranty to include drops and spills for 5 years.
I have bought a flash, and a prime lens new, but only because I didn't want to wait for the brown truck! No regrets!

I have always had excellent results when dealing with KEH.
LonreRangerFinder is correct when he states that their rating system is generous.

I believe that Nikon only sells refurbished units where KEH sells many used. I have bought from both sources with the best of luck. IMHO, KEH under-rates their equipment for sale.

I've done that but even the mailman gets nervous when he gets about two houses from ours. Amazing how fast the word gets around!!!

Lest you take it the wrong way . The big no means . There is no other way to
Buy a camera if you wish to have like a new camera for a fraction of the retail
Price .

I just received a lens today from KEH for my Sony A6000. Perfect condition, and exactly as advertised. I had several ranking categories I could have chosen from when buying and I picked the highest category.

Tested it tonight, and it is in excellent shape as advertised. Took a number of test shots and then looked at the results at 100%. Excellent focus.

I'm happy with it.
