So are your topics really gone, then? If they are, that is scary!! Holy cow! Why would admin delete them? What the heck!

Sandra,

The same topics to several forums I posted today about the Arkansas SB-79 crackdown on Photography/Photographers are not found on my list of topics I started. They wiped them off the record, so to speak.

That is a little frustrating since it was not a malicious topic, attempt at anything bad or horrible, but Basically an ALERT to fellow Photographers on this UHH Web Site. Hmmmmmmmmm?

So Be It!

Best Regards,
Tom

Usually you will get a pm from Admin when they move something telling you why your topic was moved. I've never had a topic deleted so I am not sure, but would expect that you would get a pm telling you why your topic was deleted.

I just went to refresh myself on UHH Forum rules ..

- Please do not post links promoting any "signup" pages, newsletters, lists, message boards, sweepstakes, giveaways, contests, voting pages, etc. That includes any sites that are meant to collect "signups" for any purpose

Tom, didn't you ask people to call the senator in Arkansas in your original post? If so, that might be why he deleted it. Still .. it would be nice if he informed you of a rule breakage. He could have just deleted that part of your post.

TRC ... could you repost the comment you had made earlier?

Street photography illegal? Yeah, whatever... This will just wind-up in the most ridiculous laws pile if it passes. Just because it's a law, doesn't mean it will be enforceable. If you want some good entertainment, do a Google search on the most ridiculous laws in America that have actually passed.

I wonder if there is a list of all the stupid laws that have passes and are currently making people miserable.

Sandra,

No, I sure didn't. Here is the original post I replied with to your request to please post my original - if you can follow that poorly written statement! Your Post with the request (copied and pasted here) is actually on page #1 of this thread.

Sandra,

This is what I had posted prior to it being deleted . . . by whom and Why? Makes no difference, but my original post follows immediately below:

My Original Post:

Fellow Photographers,

Cut & Paste this link into your browser to view it:
https://fstoppers.com/news/arkansas-senate-passes-bill-make-street-photography-illegal-state-65704 and think about it very seriously.

If this SB-79 in Arkansas passes tomorrow, I suspect there will be some politician in all 52 States who would want to get his/her name in the news or on record and try to do the same thing. For Street photographers, that would be ludicrous. Heck, any photographer innocently trying to capture a scenic shot or whatever would potentially be in a great deal of trouble. Just think of everyone in, say, NYC or L.A.. I wonder if this would apply to people with cell phones? (I admit, I haven't read the entire SB, but what a horrible thought potentially taking away the Right of everyone with a cell phone camera or a point & shoot or a Professional Camera. What about vacationers? The questions are endless.

Seriously, everyone, think about the impact this could have on our Nation and the general public. Who knows, maybe it won't pass . . .

Think about the possible impact,
Tom

I haven't heard a word from Admin., so perhaps they don't know what to say about deleting my post(s). I honestly don't think I am the first and only member to post the same thread in different (multiple) forums. In fact, I'm 99.999999% sure I am not. I honestly believe I have seen people of authority (or perhaps just other Hogs) tell an original poster to put their thread in another Forum. I don't think anyone ever had any repercussions about that.

Beats the heck out of me. Authority 'rules' again, I guess. :-)

Best Regards,
Tom

Rongnongno,

Perhaps it is Spam to a Robot, but it shouldn't necessarily be to bright, scholarly, totally capable of intelligent reasoning Administrators like we have here on UHH - do you think? I have seen picture threads reposted in different forums and they were never deleted - Hmmmm, sure makes me wonder.

Like I had said earlier, I am not upset - just frustrated since I was just merely trying to Alert all the users/members/photographers of this Web Site about the ridiculous Senate Bill someone is trying to pass in the Arkansas Legislature by tomorrow, which, if passed, could catch fire and rapidly spread starting a totally nonsensical rampage across the 52 States in our beloved country. That's really all there was to it. Pretty simple, I would say. :-)

Best Regards,
Tom

I suppose this must be for real but I could care less- I photograph what and where I wish -- anyone, including Ar who doesn't like it can go suck a lemon. As an old guy I am more that tired of this crap-- next it will be you need a license to operate a camera -- you don't want to even think about touching my camera, believe me.

I don't know about ALL the stupid laws, but there are plenty of lists out there. Funny thing though... they haven't made me miserable yet. Perhaps because stupid laws are for stupid people. :-)
