It is likely that this law will be challenged. It along with others have caused severe outrage in our state.

Sandra,

This is what I had posted prior to it being deleted . . . by whom and Why? Makes no difference, but my original post follows immediately below:

My Original Post:

Fellow Photographers,

Cut & Paste this link into your browser to view it:
https://fstoppers.com/news/arkansas-senate-passes-bill-make-street-photography-illegal-state-65704 and think about it very seriously.

If this SB-79 in Arkansas passes tomorrow, I suspect there will be some politician in all 52 States who would want to get his/her name in the news or on record and try to do the same thing. For Street photographers, that would be ludicrous. Heck, any photographer innocently trying to capture a scenic shot or whatever would potentially be in a great deal of trouble. Just think of everyone in, say, NYC or L.A.. I wonder if this would apply to people with cell phones? (I admit, I haven't read the entire SB, but what a horrible thought potentially taking away the Right of everyone with a cell phone camera or a point & shoot or a Professional Camera. What about vacationers? The questions are endless.

Seriously, everyone, think about the impact this could have on our Nation and the general public. Who knows, maybe it won't pass . . .

Think about the possible impact,
Tom

Generally commercial purposes applies to advertisement and other things. Editorial use and fine art are protected speech and do not require a model release. However, this law has editorial as an exception but not fine art. It is very confusing. Looks like I won't be printing any of my street photos any time soon.

Sandra,

Why in the world would Admin delete ALL my posts. Like I had said, I thought it was important and wanted to get it out and on UHH as quickly as I could after finding out from another photographer I know.

I, by no means, was trying to break any rules or disrupt the system or make any UHH Users upset, nor the Administrators, but just thought it was rather important as a photographer.

I am not angry, but just a bit confused with Admin., and some users for being a little disgruntled? My apologies to Everyone who found this offensive and my posting to several forums. :)

Best Regards,
Tom

There has been a spammer posting in multiple forums the last few days. They likely thought it was that person again.
