Ive used Beach Camera a few time. I had no problems. The items came well packed and they shipped the next day.

Has anyone used Beach Camera? I notice that both Amazon and Best Buy use them as 3rd party sellers.

For my online photo equipmentI have used, and would use again:
B&H
Amazon
Costco
Best Buy
Canon

I have also used Abe's of Maine many years ago, but would probably not do so again.

Adorama is my number #1 by far followed by Amazon and B&H. I also just posted a blurb about greentoe.com. It is a hybrid auction/bid site that sells only new, USA products at a substantial discount. No shipping, tax, grey marked or refurbs.

Check this link for more info on Greentoe:

No not really. But if you have a problem Amazon will take care of it.

I have used Amazon for some years now and have had occasion to return goods, replace goods, deal with pricing issues, etc with Amazon as well as Amazon-supported 3rd party vendors. I have never had problems ever, except for price-drops! If there is a price-slash within the return time frame, Amazon wants customers to reorder the newly-priced identical item, and return the earlier one for a refund. Would have been easier if they just made up the difference! :-)

Add: And the vendors never approach you directly, begging to deal with the matter with them 'off-line' and not go through Amazon. The ones on eBay do that regularly and some even explicitly mention that in their 'order received' letter, as a standing item. Apparently eBay deals with such matters punitively for the vendor! It is five stars or nothing. Kind of like Honda Car Company customer feedbacks! <LOL>

I have. I'm pretty sure I bought my D5300 with a 18-140mm lens there. That was through Amazon. I emailed them before to make sure it wasn't grey market.
I have used them before as well as Adorama, B&H, Costco, BJS. I don't buy anything from BestBuy...bad incident.

ABC plus KEH, gotten several used items from KEH and am very happy with price and quality. They're the real deal. Also, I use Amazon Prime for my computer repair business and they have a great return policy. I judge a vendor by what they do when things go south and they've always come through for me. Good luck!

It's hard to find a real store with a large array of cameras.

I guess I am old fashioned. But I would think that when buying a camera, lens, flash etc, that a person would want to go to a store and buy the item.

Anyone ever think about the fact that there are hackers out there that have gotten into the files of various different banks and other stores. And gotten email addresses and bank account info? Gee I hope you guys also have a good drive wiper on the computer because the banking info is still on the computer for someone to get a hold of.

I bought some cheap third party stuff like adapter, ink etc. from Amazon, but not expensive camera or lenses. Never, period!

B&H is my 1st choice.Their customer service is much better than Amazon.

My favorite is B&H. I've not used Adorama or Cameta. B&H does not charge me sales tax in Washington State, but it can take awhile getting my stuff here. If it is a routine item like a printer cartridge, Amazon is much faster and equally reliable. But, Amazon has to charge sales tax.
