Superb detail! Appears he's giving thanks for the peanut and allows you that brief moment to capture his portrait. So cute.
Thank you, CarlySue. They are cute and some of them will eat a peanut from your hand. I saw one squirrel that day so I gave it a peanut and within 3 minutes, there were about 10 squirrels asking for peanuts. So, I quickly ran out of peanuts but I got my photos. I will be buying the new Canon 5Dsr camera (50.6 MP) when it goes on sale. So, my detail of the squirrels or Bald Eagles will vastly improve.

Now that's just scary considering how sharp your stuff is already.

You think that is scary, just wait til I use the new Canon 5Dsr (50.6MP) camera in June for an extremely detailed squirrel shot.
Thank you, cucharared.

The day was sunny and cold. I used the Tamron 150-600mm @ 428mm and was 7 yards distance from the squirrel.
Nice shot Regis... I have plenty Squirrels in my yard and trees...
That's a fine looking squirrel shot Regis. They make great subjects.

Thank you very much, Bruce. I have to go to our city park or the forest nearby to find squirrels. Mu neighborhood doesn't have very many pine trees or other nut trees for the squirrels to thrive.

They do, James. For a peanut, they will stay still enough for a good photo unlike birds that are constantly moving about.
